Thanet, Multiple Temporary Traffic Regulation Notices

What is happening?

Highways

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

THANET AREA

 

A256 Haine Road & B2050 Manston Road, Ramsgate (30MPH SPEED LIMIT) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow roadworks to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to impose a mandatory 30MPH speed limit on part of A256 Haine Road & B2050 Manston Road, Ramsgate, on or after 17th September 2024 until the works have been completed.

A256 Haine Road will have a 30MPH speed limit imposed from A256 Canterbury Road West Roundabout to the junction of Leigh Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

B2050 Manston Road will have a 30MPH speed limit imposed between the junctions of Greensole Lane and Meridian Close, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

 

Convent Road, Broadstairs, CT10 3BE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow utility works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Convent Road, Broadstairs, on or after 4th September 2024 for up to 7 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed opposite number 34, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Convent Road, George Hill Road, B2052 George Hill Road, B2053 Green Lane, B2053 Northdown Hill, B2053 Westover Road, Beacon Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Dane Hill, Margate, CT9 1SE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & SUSPENSION OF ONE-WAY) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Dane Hill, Margate, on or after 20th September 2024 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junctions of King Street and Dane Hill Road. The one-way Order will be suspended between the junctions of Dane Hill Grove and Northdown Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via King Street, B2055 Trinity Square, B2055 Northdown Road, Northdown Road, Dane Hill and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Ebbsfleet Lane North, Ramsgate, CT12 5DN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow railway works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Ebbsfleet Lane North, Ramsgate, on or after 8th September 2024 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed at the level crossing, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

There is no alternative route. Every effort will be made to maintain access for residents whenever it is safe to do so.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Gloucester Avenue, Margate, CT9 3BZ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow drainage works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Gloucester Avenue, Margate, on or after 16th September 2024 for up to 48 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junctions of Lonsdale Avenue and Northdown Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Lonsdale Avenue, Clarence Avenue, Northdown Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Holly Lane, Margate, CT9 3LL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow utility works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Holly Lane, Margate, on or after 2nd September 2024 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed opposite number 60, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Foreland Avenue, Northdown Road, Holly Lane and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Park Lane, Margate, CT9 2QE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Park Lane, Margate, on or after 19th September 2024 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junctions of Dane Park Road and Dane Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Dane Park Road, Danesmead Terrace, Dane Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

St Augustines Park, Ramsgate, CT11 0GD (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of St Augustines Park, Ramsgate, on or after 2nd September 2024 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from number 51 to the junction of B2054 London Road, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via B2054 London Road, St Augustines Park and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

St James Park Road, Margate, CT8 8AN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow gas works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of St James Park Road, Margate, on or after 2nd September 2024 for up to 54 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed the entire length, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via A28 Canterbury Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Tivoli Road, Margate, CT9 4BZ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Tivoli Road, Margate, on or after 3rd September 2024 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junctions of Tivoli Park Avenue and Beatrice Road, between the hours of 23:00 and 06:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via B2052 Hartsdown Road, B2051 George V Avenue, A28 Canterbury Road, A28 Marine Terrace, A254 Belgrave Road, A254 Eaton Road and Tivoli Road.

For access to Tivoli Park Avenue, the alternative route for any through traffic is via Tivoli Park Avenue, All Saints Avenue, A28 Canterbury Road, A28 Marine Terrace, A254 Belgrave Road, A254 Eaton Road and Tivoli Road.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Tothill Street, Rose Gardens & Orchard Close, Minster, CT12 4AG (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Tothill Street, Rose Gardens & Orchard Close, Minster, on or after 16th September 2024 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The closures will be between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only.

Tothill Street will be closed between the junctions of Monkton Road and Fairfield Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Tothill Street, A299 Canterbury Road West, Willetts Hill, Monkton Street, Monkton Road and vice versa.

Rose Gardens will be closed at the junction with Tothill Street, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

Orchard Close will be closed at the junction with Tothill Street, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

There is no alternative route. Every effort will be made to maintain access for residents whenever it is safe to do so.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Various Roads, Margate, CT9 1BZ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & SUSPENSION OF ONE-WAY) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Various Roads, Margate, on or after 22nd September 2024 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

Restrictions will be between the hours of 19:00 and 05:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

B2055 Hawley Street will be closed between the junctions of King Street and Cecil Square.

A suspension of one-way will be imposed on Broad Street, the entire length.

A suspension of one-way will be imposed on Love Lane, the entire length.

A suspension of one-way will be imposed on Market Street, the entire length.

A suspension of one-way will be imposed on Lombard Street, the entire length.

A suspension of one-way will be imposed on New Cross Street, the entire length.

A suspension of one-way will be imposed on part of Union Row, between the junctions of B2055 Hawley Street and Pump Lane.

The alternative route for any Northbound through traffic is via Cecil Square, Queen Street, Marine Gardens, A28 Marine Terrace, B2051 Marine Drive, B2051 The Parade, B2051 Fort Hill, B2051 Fort Crescent, B2055 Zion Place, B2055 Northdown Road, Northdown Road, B2055 Northdown Road and B2055 Trinity Square.

The alternative route for any Southbound through traffic is via B2055 Cecil Street, B2055 Hawley Square, B2055 Churchfield Place, B2055 Churchfields, A255 High Street, A255 Ramsgate Road, A254 Queens Avenue, A254 Eaton Road, A254 Belgrave Road, Marine Gardens, Queen Street and Cecil Square.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
