WAKEFIELD COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14

(RAILWAY TERRACE & WAKEFIELD ROAD, FITZWILLIAM)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC & TEMPORARY RIGHT & LEFT TURN BAN) ORDER (NO 180) 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds for gas mains replacement works to be carried out as follows:–

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Railway Terrace & Wakefield Road, Fitzwilliam, Fitzwilliam. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed lengths of Railway Terrace & Wakefield Road.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Wakefield Road, Hemsworth Lane, Offley Lane, Offley Lane roundabout, Offley Lane, Hemsworth Lane, Wakefield Road & vice versa.

RIGHT & LEFT TURN BAN: No left turn ban for HGVs & buses from Railway Terrace onto Wakefield Road & no right turn for HGVs & buses from Wakefield Road onto Railway Terrace.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 27th August 2024 to 6th September 2024, or until completion of the work, whichever is soonest. The closure was originally due to be in force from 20th August 2024 to 30th August 2024, however it has become necessary to change the dates to the ones above. Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(COMMON ROAD, SOUTH KIRKBY)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 182) 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds to replace telecom pole to be carried out as follows:–

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Common Road, South Kirkby at the junction of Dunsley Terrace and either side of the junction. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Common Road.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Common Road, Mill Lane, White Apron Street, Holmsley Lane, Common Road & vice versa.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 27th August 2024 to 30th August 2024 between 09.30 hours to 15.30 hours daily, or until completion of the work, whichever is soonest. Access to the premises on the closed length  of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(ROUNDHILL ROAD, CASTLEFORD)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 197) 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds to allow for replacement of manhole frame & cover to be carried out as follows:

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Roundhill Road, Castleford for approximately 30 metres. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length  of Roundhill Road.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Beancroft Road, Smawthorne Lane, Smawthorne Grove and vice versa.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 10th September 2024 09.30 to 13.30 hours or until completion of the work, whichever is soonest. Access to the premises on the closed length  of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(RIVELIN ROAD, CASTLEFORD)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 198) 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order  on traffic management grounds to allow for replacement of manhole frame & cover to be carried out as follows:–

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Rivelin Road, Castleford from the junction with Aketon Road for 20 metres. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Rivelin Road.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Aketon Road, Aketon Drive, Hemsby Road and vice versa.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 10th September 2024 11.30 to 15.30 hours or until completion of the work, whichever is soonest. Access to the premises on the closed length  of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(AKETON ROAD, CASTLEFORD)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 199) 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds to allow for replacement of manhole frame & cover to be carried out as follows:–

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Aketon Road, Castleford for approximately 30 metres. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Aketon Road.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Leeds Barnsdale Road, Lumley Street and vice versa.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 10th September 2024 19.00 to 23.00 hours or until completion of the work, whichever is soonest. Access to the premises on the closed length  of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(STUMPCROSS LANE, PONTEFRACT)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 200) 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds to allow for replacement of manhole frame & cover to be carried out as follows:–

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Stumpcross Lane, Pontefract for approximately 20 metres. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Stumpcross Lane.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: N/A.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 9th September 2024 19.00 to 23.00 hours or until completion of the work, whichever is soonest. Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(COMMON ROAD, SOUTH KIRKBY)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 202) 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds to renew existing chamber to be carried out as follows:–

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Common Road, South Kirkby for approximately 70 metres. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Common Road.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Common Road, Southmoor Road, Hemsworth Bypass, Hemsworth Road, Hague Lane, Holmsley Lane & vice versa.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 10th September 2024 at 08.00 to 18.00 hours or until completion of the work, whichever is soonest. Access to the premises on the closed length  of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(COMMERCIAL STREET, CASTLEFORD)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 203) 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds for gas mains replacement to be carried out as follows:–

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Commercial Street, Castleford. The Order shall also have the effect  of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Commercial Street.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Access to be maintained if required.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 9th September 2024 to 12th September 2024 or until completion of the work, whichever is soonest. Access to the premises on the closed length  of road will be maintained whenever possible.
