Notice of Making
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Wigan Borough Council, in exercise of the powers under Section 1, 2, 3 and 4 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and the Traffic Management Act 2004 and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 of the Act 1984, has made the Wigan Borough (Decriminalisation of Parking) (Various Roads in Wigan Borough) (Traffic Regulation Consolidation) Order 2004 (Amendment No.587) Order 2024 which will come into operation on 16/09/2024.
The effect of the Order will be to introduce no waiting at any time on:
• Yew Tree Way Golborne - east side from a point 15 metres north of its junction with Hovis Golborne to a point 15 metres south of its junction with Hovis Golborne
The effect of the Order will be to introduce no loading at any time on:
• Yew Tree Way Golborne - east side from a point 15 metres north of its junction with Hovis Golborne to a point 15 metres south of its junction with Hovis Golborne
A copy of the Order and of the relevant map may be requested by emailing d.rumsey@wigan.gov.uk.
Any person who desires to question the validity of the Order or any provision contained therein on the ground:
(a) That it is not within the powers of Section 1 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984; or the Traffic Management Act 2004, or
(b) That any requirement of the said Section 1, or of Part III of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or of any regulations made under the said Part III of Schedule 9 or of any requirement of the 2004 Act, has not been complied with, may within six weeks of 13/08/2024 make application for the purpose to the High Court.

(Temporary Prohibition of Waiting/ Prohibition Of Loading And Unloading) Order 2024 Notice of Proposals
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Assistant Director Infrastructure and Regulatory Services of the Wigan Borough Council in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and delegated to her by the said Council proposes to make the Wigan Borough (Market Street Tyldesley) (Temporary Prohibition of Waiting/Prohibition of Loading and Unloading) Order 2024.
The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any person from waiting or loading or unloading in Market Street Tyldesley at the cul-de-sac end during a period of eighteen months commencing on 30/08/2024.
There will be an exemption in place for vehicles associated with the building works to load and unload as required.
The Order is necessary to allow building works at the end of Market Street cul-de-sac.

(Temporary Closure) Order 2024
Notice of Proposals
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Assistant Director Infrastructure and Regulatory Services of the Wigan Borough Council in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and delegated to her by the said Council proposes to make the Wigan Borough (Wigan Road Back Service Road 38-66, Atherton) (Temporary Closure) Order 2024.
The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any person from driving a vehicle or causing or permitting a vehicle to be driven in Wigan Road Back Service Road 38-66, Atherton during the period of four days commencing on 12/11/2024 to 15/11/2024.
The alternative route for traffic is: Lambeth Street and Leighton Street.
The Order is necessary to allow trial holes for an electric connection.
