Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make an Order to close temporarily to all users: A) Bridleway 32, Fyfield; from its junction with Bridleway 32, West Overton to its junction with Bridleway 34, Fyfield. B) Bridleway 33, Fyfield; from its junction with Bridleway 33, West Overton to its junction with Bayardo Lane. C) Bridleway 34, Fyfield; from its junction with Bridleway 34, West Overton to its junction with Bridleway 32, Fyfield. Alternative route via existing rights of way and permissive paths. The closures and diversion route will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. This Order will come into operation on 21 September 2024 and it is anticipated that the closures will be required until 21 March 2025. The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make an Order to close temporarily to all vehicular traffic under a rolling road closure: a) A420 Bristol Road (Part), Chippenham; from its junction with Hardenhuish Avenue to its junction with Marshfield Road. b) A420 Marshfield Road (Part), Chippenham; from its junction with Bristol Road to its junction with Park Lane. c) A420 Park Lane (Part), Chippenham; from its junction with Marshfield Road to its junction with New Road. d) A420 New Road (Part), Chippenham; from its junction with Park Lane to its junction with The Bridge. e) C365 The Bridge, Chippenham; from its junction with New Road to its junction with High Street. f) C365 High Street, Chippenham; from its junction with The Bridge to its junction with Market Place. g) C365 Market Place (Part), Chippenham; from its junction with High Street to it junction with The Causeway. h) C365 The Causeway, Chippenham; from its junction with Market Place to its junction with London Road. i) C365 London Road (Part), Chippenham; from its junction with The Causeway to its junction with A4 Pewsham Way. The above closures will be managed on a 'rolling road closure' basis and will be reopened to traffic as soon as safely possible. And to close temporarily to all traffic: j) C182 Hill Corner Road, Chippenham; from its junction with B4069 Pew Hill to its junction with B4158 Malmesbury Road. k) B4158 Malmesbury Road (Part), Chippenham; from its junction with B4528 Hardenhuish Lane to its junction with A420 Park Lane. These temporary traffic measures are required to safeguard members of the public and competitors whilst enabling the Chippenham Half Marathon to take place. This Order will come into operation on Sunday 15 September 2024 with the exception of vehicles officially involved in the marathon, vehicles being used for ambulance, police or fire brigade purposes, or the purpose of a statutory undertaker in an emergency, or with permission being given by a Police Constable in uniform. The rolling closures (a) to (i) are anticipated to commence at approximately 09:00 and finish at approximately 13:00 (depending upon the progress of the competition). The order is required to enable micro asphalt surface treatments and associated maintenance works and will be operative from the 16 September 2024 for a maximum period of 18 months. The closures are anticipated to be for up to 5 days but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works. PEDESTRIAN CROSSING -SCHOOL ROAD AND STICKLEBACK ROAD, CALNE
Notice is hereby given that Wiltshire Council in exercise of its powers under Section 23 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 proposes installation of a Zebra (Parrallel) Crossing (a combined pedestrian and cycle crossing which has priority over the road which it crosses) at the following locations: School Road, Calne at a point approximately 10 metres south east of its junction with A3102 roundabout; Stickleback Road, Calne at a point approximately 10 metres south east of its junction with A3102 roundabout.

Notice is hereby given that on 14 August 2024 Wiltshire Council made the above mentioned Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which is to introduce a 20mph speed limit zone on Clover Grove, Finch Lane, Hawthorne Close, Juniper Close, Larkspur Drive, Lovage Lane, Lupin Close, Sorrel Street, Sparrow Crescent and Sycamore Drive, Calne - the complete lengths. A copy of the Order can be obtained via email request to TrafficOrders@wiltshire.gov.uk. Any person aggrieved by the Order and desiring to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained in the Order on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the relevant Section of the above Act or on the grounds that any requirement of that Section or of Part III of Schedule 9 of the Act or any regulation made under the said Schedule, has not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within six weeks of the date on which the Order was made, make application for the purpose to the High Court. The Order will come into operation on 26 August 2024.
