Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (As Amended) (City of Worcester) (Civil Enforcement Area) (Waiting Restrictions and Street Parking Places) Consolidation Order 2011 (Variation) Order 2024 [Prohibition of Waiting on Lansdowne Crescent, Worcester]

On 8 August 2024 Worcestershire County Council made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit waiting at any time following lengths and sides of roads in Worcester: -

Lansdowne Crescent (East Side): From a point 85 metres southwest of its junction with Lansdowne Crescent Lane for a distance of 25 metres in a southerly direction.

The Order will vary the above Consolidation Order (which provides for civil enforcement of contraventions of waiting prohibitions and restrictions) and will contain exemptions to allow parking/access for certain purposes and limited waiting by disabled persons' vehicles. The Order will come into operation on 29 August 2024. Documents in relation to this Order can be downloaded at the Worcester City Public Notice page on the Worcestershire County Council Website or copies supplied by emailing roadtrafficregs@worcestershire.gov.uk; or writing to me at County Hall or may be inspected at Worcestershire County Council, County Hall, Spetchley Road, Worcester, WR5 2NP during normal office hours. (A38 Barbourne Road, Worcester) (Bus Lane Suspension) and The County of Hereford and Worcester (Barbourne Road and The Tything/Upper Tything, Worcester) (Bus Lane) Order 1996 (Temporary Suspension) Order 2024

Order made: To temporarily suspend that part of the bus lane on A38 Barbourne Road from its junction with U51000 St Georges Lane North to its junction with U50133 Little London in a southerly direction. The County of Hereford and Worcester (Barbourne Road and The Tything/Upper Tything, Worcester) (Bus Lane) Order 1996 is hereby temporarily suspended so that it can be used by normal vehicles during the works.

Reason: Remedial gas utility works by Cadent Gas.

Exemptions: To permit access to any land or premises fronting the highway affected where there is no other form of access; and to allow the works to be undertaken.

Maximum duration: 18 Months. Anticipated duration: 2 days (24hrs). Commencing: 22 August 2024.

Proposed Order: To temporarily suspend that part of the bus lane order affecting the highway from its junction with B4636 Newtown Road/Worcestershire Royal Hospital Roundabout to its junction with U52003 Linksview Crescent so that it can be used by normal traffic for the duration of the Order.

Reason: Remedial works for carriageway alterations by Stave-Con.

Exemptions: To permit access to any land or premises fronting the highway affected where there is no other form of access; and to allow the works to be undertaken.

Maximum duration: 18 Months. Anticipated duration: 21 days (24hrs). Commencing: 16 September 2024.

(Bridleway WR-891 (part), Worcester) (Temporary Closure Order) 2024

Order made: To close Bridleway WR-891(part), Worcester between grid ref 387791, 254008 and 387772, 254285.

The Order has been made for resurfacing and widening work.

Exemptions: To permit access to any land or premises having a frontage to the highway affected where there is no other form of access; and to allow the necessary works to be undertaken.

Alternative route: There is no alternative route. The proposed Order will continue in force for a period not exceeding 6 months or until the works which it is proposed to be carried out have been completed, whichever is the earlier. However, it is anticipated that the Order will only be operative for 6 months commencing on 26 August 2024.
