Various Roads - Temporary Traffic Order For Planned Works
What is happening?
LONDON BOROUGH OF EALING
NOTICE OF MAKING OF TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ORDER FOR PLANNED WORKS AFFECTING: VARIOUS ROADS, SOUTHALL.
Ealing Council has made the following temporary traffic order under sections 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:
Title of order
This order can be referred to as: Temporary traffic order for planned works - TT 4267 Various Roads, Southall - 2024.
Reason for order
This order is needed to allow for works taking place on or near the road. These works involve Affinity Water carrying out district metering works.
Effect of order
1. This order will close roads and ban a right turn as specified in the schedule attached at the bottom of this order.
2. The following temporary restrictions on vehicle movements will take effect from 12th August 2024.
(a) No entry into the fully closed section of Hamilton Road, Cambridge Road & Boyd Close.
(b) No right turn prohibition exiting Hamilton Road onto Avenue Road.
(c) No waiting, loading, or unloading on either side of the carriageway within the fully closed section(s).
3. The above temporary restrictions and prohibitions will only apply at specified locations where appropriate traffic signs are provided and displayed in accordance with Chapter 8 of the Traffic Signs Manual.
4. While the temporary restrictions are in place, displaced vehicles should follow the diversions displayed in place to reach their destinations and comply with any traffic management measures.
5. This Order does not apply to:
(a) anything done at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a police community support officer (PCSO).
(b) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance.
Date order will come into force.
12th August 2024
Maximum duration of order
This order will expire on 11th February 2026, or, on completion of the works, which is expected to be 20th September 2024, whichever is sooner.

SCHEDULE:
Hamilton Road will be closed from outside property 18 to the junction of Avenue Road from 12th August to 20th September 2024.
Cambridge Road at the junction of Avenue Road will be closed from 25th August to 20th September 2024. Access only will be provided throughout the works.
Boyd Avenue will be closed at its junction with Avenue Road from 25th August until 20th September 2024.
Access only will be provided throughout the works. Hamilton Road will have a banned right turn onto Avenue Road from 25th August to 20th September 2024.
