What is happening?

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14

(THORNES LANE, WAKEFIELD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 183) 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds for detailed bridge inspection to be carried out as follows:

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Thornes Lane, Wakefield for approximately 50 metres under the railway bridge. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Thornes Lane.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Denby Dale Road, Ings Road, Doncaster Road, Barnsley Road, Thornes Lane & vice versa.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 27th August 2024 to 29th August 2024 between 23.00 hours to 06.30 hours each night, or until completion of the work, whichever is soonest.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(DUNBAR STREET, WAKEFIELD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 184) 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds for gas mains replacement to be carried out as follows:

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Dunbar Street, Wakefield for approximately 41.04 metres. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Dunbar Street.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Elm Tree Street, Doncaster Road & vice versa.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 26th August 2024 to 10th September 2024, or until completion of the work, whichever is soonest.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 185) 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds to replace water supply pipe to be carried out as follows:

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Horton Street, Ossett from the side of Wesley Street to 1 Horton Street. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Horton Street.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Wesley Street, Nettleton Street & vice versa.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 29th August 2024 to 30th August 2024, or until completion of the work, whichever is soonest.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 186) 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds for carriageway patching & iron works to be carried out as follows:

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Chevet Lane, Notton from the junction of Common Lane, Wakefield to George Lane, Notton. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Chevet Lane.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Chevet Lane, Barnsley Road, George Lane & vice versa.

Residents access will be maintained when safe to do so.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 27th August 2024 to 30th August 2024, 09.30 hours to 16.00 hours daily or until completion of the work, whichever is soonest.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(HIGH STREET, CROFTON)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 196) 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds to allow for replacement of manhole frame & cover to be carried out as follows:-

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: High Street, Crofton for approximately 30 metres. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of High Street.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: A638 Doncaster Road, B6273 Garmil Lane, Swine Lane, Back Lane, Long Dam Lane and vice versa.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 11th September 2024 09.30 to 13.30 hours or until completion of the work, whichever is soonest.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(DONCASTER ROAD, WAKEFIELD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 201) 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds to allow for replacement of manhole frame & cover to be carried out as follows:-

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Doncaster Road, Wakefield for approximately 50 metres. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Doncaster Road.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: A642 Aberford Road, A6194 Wakefield Eastern Relief Road, A6194 Neil Fox Way & vice versa.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 10th September 2024 at 21.00 to 11th September 2024 01.00 hours or until completion of the work, whichever is soonest.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(CARR LANE, WAKEFIELD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 204) 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds for installation of a new electrical connection to be carried out as follows:-

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Carr Lane, Wakefield outside number 1 Carr Lane. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Carr Lane.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: No diversion. Road is a dead end. Pedestrian access will be maintained and access for residents will be maintained where possible by use of road plates.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 10th September 2024 to 13th September 2024 or until completion of the work, whichever is soonest.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(DONCASTER ROAD, EAST HARDWICK)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 205) 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds for new supply connection to be carried out as follows:-

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Doncaster Road, East Hardwick at Mayfield Farm. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Doncaster Road.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: A639 Pontefract Road, A6021 Wrangbrook Lane, A638 Hemsworth A1 Link Road, A6021 Sprockhovel Way, A628 Hemsworth Bypass, A628 Pontefract Road, A628 Barnsley Road, A628 Ackworth Road & vice versa.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 12th September 2024 at 08.00 hours to 13th September 2024 at 18.00 hours or until completion of the work, whichever is soonest.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(BRUNEL ROAD, WAKEFIELD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 206) 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds to replace manhole frame & cover to be carried out as follows:-

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Brunel Road, Wakefield. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Brunel Road.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Brunel Road, Kenmore Road & vice versa.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 11th September 2024 at 19.00 hours to 23.00 hours or until completion of the work, whichever is soonest.
