Oxford Road - Temporary Closure Of Cycle Lane

MANCHESTER CITY COUNCIL TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER_ ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (AS AMENDED)

Notice is hereby given that the City Council has made the following Temporary Road Traffic Order(s):
ORDER NO. MCC000139701857: The City of Manchester (Oxford Road, Hulme Ward)(Temporary Closure of Cycle Lane) Order 2024 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to suspend the operation of the cycle lane on Oxford Road, from Manchester Aquatics Centre to Booth Street East thereby prohibit any pedal cycle (and any pedestrian) from proceeding at any time in the following length of cycle lane: Oxford Road, from Manchester Aquatics Centre to Booth Street East. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate works for ACS Construction.. It is expected that the works will be in progress from 24th August 2024 to 4th September 2024. The order shall come into operation on 24th August 2024and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period. 
ORDER NO. MCC139607541: The City of Manchester (West Mosley Street, Deansgate Ward)(Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2024 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on West Mosley Street from Spring Gardens to Booth Street. The alternative routes for traffic will be: Booth Street, Fountain Street, York Street, West Mosley Street & Spring Gardens, Chancery Lane, Brown Street, Booth Street. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate a crane. It is expected that the works will be in progress on the 25th August 2024 and the 31st August 2024. The order shall come into operation on 25th August 2024 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period. Kevin Gillham.
