What is happening?
THE ROYAL BOROUGH OF
WINDSOR & MAIDENHEAD
(B470 HIGH STREET (PART), DATCHET)
(TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2024
The Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead has made an Order, the effect of which will be to:
Prohibit any vehicle or pedestrian from proceeding along that part of the B470 High Street, Datchet between its junctions with Manor House Lane and The Avenue.
The alternative route for vehicles and pedestrians affected by the Order will be via the B376 The Green, Queens Road and the B470 Windsor Road.
The purpose of the Order is to facilitate works to be executed in and adjacent to the road by Network Rail at the High Street Level Crossing, and as a result there is the likelihood of danger to the public.
The Order will come into operation each night
between 23.00 hours and 05.00 hours from
Monday 2 September 2024, and it is anticipated that works will be completed by 05.00 hours on Friday 6 September 2024.
This Order may be cited as Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead (B470
High Street (part), Datchet) (Temporary Closure) Order 2024 which shall continue in force for a period of eighteen months at such other periods as may be agreed, to allow for further necessary level crossing maintenance at such times when signs as prescribed by the Traffic Sign Regulations and General Directions 2016 are in place to indicate the said restrictions.
