What is happening?
NORTHUMBERLAND COUNTY COUNCIL ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1) C195 RIDSDALE JUNCTION TO DISTRICT BOUNDARY KIRKWHELPINGTON (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the C195 Ridsdale Junction to District Boundary from its junction with the A68 to its junction with the U5010 for a length of 5730 metres in the County of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective from the 16th September 2024 until the 16th November 2024. It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 16th September 2024 until the 20th September 2024 between the hours of 07:30 until 18:00 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 16th November 2024.
The alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via the C195, A696, B6342, A68 and vice-versa.

The closure has been requested by Northumberland County Council for carriageway resurfacing and patching, drainage, haunch repair & signage. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.
