What is happening?

1) Thorne Road, Wheatley from its junction with Wentworth
Road to its junction with Town Moor Avenue
2) Side road closures along the route that form a junction with
Thorne Road those roads being Norborough Road, Axholme
Road, Avenue Road and Auckland Road
Dates and Times
09:30hrs 26th August 2024 until 20:00hrs 30th August 2024
Thorne Road closed in consecutive sections between
09:30hrs and 20:00hrs.
In the event of engineering difficulties and/or adverse weather
conditions, the closure may extend beyond this date although
all closures to be completed by the 30th September 2024

PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC
TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 AS AMENDED
BY THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS)
ACT 1991
NOTICE is hereby given that the City of Doncaster Council
have made an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic
Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Road Traffic
(Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991 because works are being
or proposed to be executed on or near the roads and the
effect will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in that
length of Thorne Road along with the side roads in the City of
Doncaster District as described in the Schedule to this notice
on the dates and times referred to in the said Schedule.
Reason for closure: To ensure the safety of the public and the
workforce whilst works to surface carriageway for cycleway
works are undertaken.
NOTICE is also given that the alternative route for vehicles
affected by the Order is as described in the Schedule
to this notice.
Any vehicle that is in contravention of the waiting restriction
imposed by this Order may be removed under the provisions
of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.
Any contravention of the prohibitions or restrictions imposed
by this Order may result in a Penalty Charge Notice being
issued and the subsequent removal of a vehicle.

NOTICE is hereby given that the City of Doncaster Council
have made an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic
Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Road Traffic
(Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991 because works are being
or proposed to be executed on or near the road and the effect
will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in that length
of Marshgate Unnamed Industrial Estate Road in the City of
Doncaster District as described in the Schedule to this notice
on the dates and times referred to in the said Schedule.

workforce whilst carriageway resurfacing works are
undertaken.
NOTICE is also given that the alternative route for vehicles
affected by the Order is via Marshgate, Marshgate Unnamed
Industrial Estate Road and vice versa. Those residents and
businesses directly affected by the works are to be notified of
the scheme to include access arrangements.
Any vehicle that is in contravention of the waiting restriction
imposed by this Order may be removed under the provisions
of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

2024. The road will reopen daily.

all closures to be completed by the 30th September 2024.
BAWTRY ROAD BESSACARR DONCASTER
PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC
TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

BY THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS)
ACT 1991
NOTICE is hereby given that the City of Doncaster Council
have made an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic
Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Road Traffic
(Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991 because works are being
or proposed to be executed on or near the road and the effect
will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in those
lengths of Bawtry Road at Bessacarr in the City of Doncaster
District as described in the Schedule to this notice on the
dates and times referred to in the said Schedule.
Reason for closure: To ensure the safety of the public and the
workforce whilst works to replace defective tarmac and
manhole frame & cover are undertaken.
NOTICE is also given that the alternative route for vehicles
affected by the Order is via Racecourse Roundabout, Carr
House Road, The Sidings Roundabout, White Rose Way,
Middle Bank Roundabout, Ten Pound Walk, Carriage Drive,
White Rose Way M18 Roundabout, Great Yorkshire Way, Great
North Road and vice versa.

Notice is hereby given that on the 21st day of August 2024
the City of Doncaster Council made an Order under the
provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984.
The effect of the Order that will come into operation on the
3rd day of September 2024 will introduce a No waiting at any
time restriction on the following length of road:-
St Marys Road, Tickhill
West side
From a point 153 metres north of its junction with the northern
kerbline of New Road, for a distance of 15 metres in a
northernly direction.
Exceptions to the Order will permit waiting for the purpose of
picking up and setting down passengers, loading and
unloading goods, in connection with building industrial or
demolition operations, the removal of obstructions to traffic,
the maintenance of the roads and the services therein in
pursuance of statutory powers or duties, for the collection
and delivery of postal packets or if it is a vehicle being
operated by or on behalf of the South Yorkshire Safety
Camera Partnerships while carrying out roadside monitoring
or enforcement operations. The usual exceptions for disabled
persons vehicles are also included in the Order

If you wish to question the validity of the Order or of any of
the provisions contained therein on the grounds that it is not
within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation

21st day of August 2024 apply to the High Court for this
purpose.

The above order, made on the 21st day of August 2024, under
section 118 of the Highways Act 1980, will extinguish the
public footpath running from Gattison Lane at grid reference
SK 6177 9759 and proceeding south-westwards through the
church grounds to Radburn Road at grid reference SK 6177
9758, as shown on the order map.
A copy of the order and the order map have been placed and
may be seen free of charge at City of Doncaster Council,
Civic Office, Waterdale, Doncaster, DN1 3BU, from 9.00 a.m.
to 4.30 p.m. on Mondays to Fridays. Copies of the order and

will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in that length
of Markham Road at Edlington in the City of Doncaster District
as described in the Schedule to this notice on the dates and
