What is happening?

Temporary Closure of Pardlestone Lane

Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along Pardlestone Lane - from the junction with Main Road, southwards for a total distance of 32 metres. This Order will enable Wessex Water to replace a meter and valve.

The Order becomes effective on 6th September 2024 and will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 11th September 2024 and last until 13th September 2024 between the hours of 00:00 - 23:59 for a total of 3 days.

There is no alternative route for this closure. The works promoter will contact residents and businesses directly to discuss access arrangements.
