Hollins Lane - Temporary Prohibition Of Driving For Vegetation Removal Works
What is happening?
THE METROPOLITAN BOROUGH COUNCIL OF STOCKPORT (HOLLINS LANE, MARPLE BRIDGE) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) NOTICE 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Metropolitan Borough Council of Stockport proposes to make an Order not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffc Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Road Traffc (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, the effect of which will be to introduce a Temporary Prohibition of Driving at Hollins Lane between the junctions of Constable Drive and Town Street whilst traffc signs to that effect are in place on or near the said road. This Order is necessary because vegetation removal works are being or proposed to be executed. Alternative routes will be via:- Ley Lane, Glossop Road, Lowerfold, Town Street and vice versa. There will be an exemption for access. It is anticipated that the maximum duration of the works will be 1 day. This Order is to come into operation on the 2 September 2024 and will have effect for eighteen months, provided that if all necessary works are completed within a shorter period this Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.
