Bristol - Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles and Foot Passengers
What is happening?
CITY OF BRISTOL (BEDMINSTER BRIDGE ROUNDABOUT AND CLARENCE ROAD, REDCLIFF, BRISTOL) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY VEHICLES AND FOOT PASSENGERS) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is hereby given that the City Council of Bristol in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intend to make an Order the effect of which will be:-
1. to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads as specified in Schedule 1 to this Notice; and
2. to close, temporarily, to pedestrians the lengths of roads as specified in Schedule 2 to this Notice.
The Order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the roads and will be operative from 30th September 2024 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period, but only as necessitated by the works (which are anticipated to take place between 30th September 2024 and 5th October 2024).

SCHEDULE 1 – Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles
1. Bedminster Bridge Roundabout – from its northernmost junction with Clarence Road to its southernmost junction with York Road
2. Clarence Road – south westbound only: from a point 14 metres north east of its southernmost junction with Bedminster Bridge Roundabout south westwards to the said junction
SCHEDULE 2 – Temporary Prohibition of Use by Pedestrians
1. Bedminster Bridge Roundabout – from its southernmost junction with Clarence Road to its northernmost junction with York Road
2. Clarence Road – from its southernmost junction with Bedminster Bridge Roundabout eastwards for 35 metres
SCHEDULE 3 – Alternative Routes
Vehicles: Clarence Road (part unaffected), Bath Bridge Roundabout, York Road, Bedminster Bridge Roundabout (part unaffected) Pedestrians: Clarence Road (part unaffected), Bedminster Bridge Roundabout (part unaffected), Redcliffe Hill, Bedminster Bridge Roundabout (part unaffected) and vice versa
(PUBLIC RIGHT OF WAY 468, BRISLINGTON, BRISTOL) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY FOOT PASSENGERS) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is hereby given that the City Council of Bristol in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to pedestrians that length of Public Right of Way 468 which extends from Callington Road to Kenneth Road.
The Order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the public right of way and will be operative from 2nd September 2024 for a maximum period of six months.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Kenneth Road, Brislington Hill, Runnymead Avenue, Callington Road and vice versa
(FELIX ROAD, EASTON, BRISTOL) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY VEHICLES) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is hereby given that the City Council of Bristol in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles that length of Felix Road which extends from Lansdown Road to Villiers Road.
The Order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road and will be operative from 10th September 2024 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closure may not be implemented for the whole of the period, but only as necessitated by the works (which are anticipated to take place between 10th September 2024 and 12th September 2024).
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Felix Road (part unaffected), Bannerman Road, Easton Road, Bouverie Street, St. Gabriels Road and vice versa
(VARIOUS ROADS, BRISLINGTON, BRISTOL) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY VEHICLES) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is hereby given that the City Council of Bristol in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads as specified in Schedule 1 to this Notice.
Exemption will be provided in the Order for vehicles requiring necessary access to premises situated on, adjacent to or accessible only from the closed lengths.
The Order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the roads and will be operative from 16th September 2024 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period, but only as necessitated by the works (which are anticipated to take place between the dates specified in Schedule 2 to this Notice).

NOTICE is hereby given that the City Council of Bristol in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles that length of Clifton Vale which extends from Cornwallis Avenue to Cornwallis Crescent.
The Order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road and will be operative from 2nd September 2024 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closure may not be implemented for the whole of the period, but only as necessitated by the works (which are anticipated to take place between 2nd September 2024 and 30th October 2025).
