What is happening?

THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL (VARIOUS ROADS, MANSFIELD WOODHOUSE & FOREST TOWN) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2024 (M24-133)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council has made an Order, under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, in respect of roads at Mansfield Woodhouse and Forest Town in the District of Mansfield.

The effects of the Order will be:

1. Vehicles are prohibited from proceeding in the following length of road:

a. Sandringham Road, Mansfield Woodhouse - From its junction with A60 Leeming Lane North, to its junction with Norfolk Court.

b. Norfolk Court, Mansfield Woodhouse - For its entire length.

c. Kingsley Avenue, Mansfield Woodhouse - At its Junction with A60 Leeming Lane North, to its junction with Kingsley Close.

d. Eather Avenue, Mansfield Woodhouse - For its entire length.

e. Stuart Avenue, Forest Town - From its junction with Tudor Avenue, to its junction with Crown Avenue.

2. All existing permanent restrictions will be temporarily suspended as required.

3. The restrictions specified above shall only be in effect when the signs are in place.

IT IS INTENDED that the prohibitions respecting the above road or roads will apply as follows: From 07:30 Hours, Monday 19th August 2024 Until 17:30 Hours, Friday 10th September 2024, Inclusive AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction the alternative route available will be: a. Wheatfield Crescent - Marples Avenue - Leeming Lane North (A60) and Vice Versa

b. N/A

c. Ley Lane - Leas Road - Leeming Lane North (A60) and Vice Versa

d. Slant Lane - Park Road and Vice Versa

e. Tudor Avenue - Olive Grove - Princess Avenue and Vice Versa

The Order will come into force on Monday 19th August 2024 and any prohibition in it shall apply on that day and any subsequent day when necessary to enable works to be carried out. The Order shall continue in force until the works are completed (within a maximum period of 18 months).
