Old Taunton Road, Temporary Road Closure Due To Fibre Works

Somerset Council Parish of Bridgwater Temporary Closure of Old Taunton Road

Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, have made an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along Old Taunton Road - from the junction with Broadway to the junction with Turner Close. A total distance of 264 metres. This Order will enable Future Networks Inc Ltd to install ducting on behalf of Allpoints Fibre Network Limited.

The Order becomes effective on 20th August 2024 and will remain in force for eighteen months. The works are expected to commence on 27th August 2024 and last until 13th September 2024 between the hours of 08:00 -18:00 (Monday - Friday only) for a total of 18 days.
