M5 Motorway Junction 13 - Temporary Restriction And Prohibition Of Traffic For Resurfacing Works

What is happening?

THE M5 MOTORWAY (JUNCTION 13)
(TEMPORARY RESTRICTION AND PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024 NUMBER 2

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited (a) intends to make an Order on the M5 Motorway in the County of Gloucestershire to allow resurfacing works and associated maintenance to be carried out in safety.

The works are expected to take place commencing on or after 7 September 2024 and be completed by 9 September 2024.

The effect of the Order would be to:

(a) impose a mandatory 50 mph speed limit on the M5 northbound from the southern overbridge of the Junction 13 circulatory carriageway to Grove Lane Overbridge;

(b) authorise the closure of the northbound entry slip road at M5 Junction 13.

The speed limit (which would not apply to emergency service vehicles) and closures would be clearly indicated by traffic signs throughout the works.

The Order would come into force on 5 September 2024 and have a maximum duration of 18 months.
