(B5269 PRESTON ROAD, B5269 MILL LANE, B5269 CARRS GREEN, INSKIP WITH SOWERBY, B5269 LEWTH LANE, WOODPLUMPTON B5269 LEWTH LANE, B5269 MOORSIDE LANE, CATFORTH, B5269 WODDPLUMPTON ROAD, PRESTON, FYLDE AND PRESTON BOROUGH)
(TEMPORARY SPEED RESTRICTION) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Lancashire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit any person to cause or permit any motor vehicle or cycle from proceeding at a speed exceeding the stated temporary speed restriction over the following lengths of highway in the Borough of Fylde:
1. To prohibit any person to cause or permit any motor vehicle or cycle from proceeding at a speed exceeding 30mph on the following lengths of highway:
i. B5269 Preston Road, Inskip with Sowerby from a point 680 metres from its junction with Pinfold Lane to its merging with B5269 Mill Lane.
ii. B5269 Mill Lane, Inskip with Sowerby from its merging with B5269 Preston Road to its merging with B5269 Carrs Green.
iii. B5269 Carrs Green, Inskip with Sowerby from its merging with B5269 Carrs Lane to its merging with B5269 Lewth Lane.
iv. B5269 Lewth Lane, Woodplumpton from its merging with B5269 Carrs Lane to its merging with B5269 Lewth Lane, Catforth.
v. B5269 Lewth Lane, Catforth from its merging with B5269 Lewth Lane, Woodplumpton to its merging with B5269 Moorside Lane.
vi. B5269 Moorside Lane, Catforth from its merging with B5269 Lewth Lane to its merging with Woodplumpton Road.
vii. B5269 Woodplumpton Road, Preston from its merging with B5269 Moorside Lane to its junction with Bell Fold Wharf.
2. No speed limit imposed by this order applies to vehicles falling within regulation 3(4) of the Road Traffic Exemptions (Special Forces) (Variation and Amendment) Regulations 2011 when used in accordance with regulation 3(5) of those Regulations.
3. The prohibition will be operative from 0900 hours on Monday 19th August 2024 until 1530 hours on Friday 13th December 2024 or until completion of the works within this period.
The temporary prohibition is necessary to facilitate utility works to be safely carried out.
