What is happening?

Warwickshire County Council

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

Warwickshire County Council has made the following Temporary Traffic Orders:

B4114 BLYTHE ROAD, SHUSTOKE
Order Effect: A 30-mph speed restriction will be imposed on B4114 Blythe Road, Shustoke from the junction with Station Road to a point 1250m south-west of that junction.
Reason for Order: The restriction is required for the safety of the public and of the participants in the Wizzafest event.
Order Commences: 23 August 2024 for 3 days.

ORTON ROAD, WARTON
Order Effect: Road closed to vehicular traffic from a point outside property number 94.
Reason for Order: To enable works for a new water connection.
Order Commences: 22 August 2024 for up to 18 months.
Anticipated Completion: 24 August 2024.
Access & Diversion: Orton Road, Warton Lane, The Green, Sheepy Lane, Orton Lane, Twycross Road, Main Road, Sheepy Road, Grendon Road, Warton Hill, Barn End Road and vice versa.

PUBLIC FOOTPATH M67 BETWEEN COLESHILL TOWN AND THE PARISH OF MAXSTOKE
Order Effect: Footpath closed to ALL traffic at Grid Reference X420706 Y288956.
Reason for Order: To avoid the likelihood of danger to the public because serious defects have been identified that warrant further inspection and remedial works.
Order Commences: 22 February 2024 and was due to expire 20 August 2024. However, the Secretary of State in exercise of his powers under Section 15(5) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 has directed that the Order shall continue in force until 21 August 2026, or until remedial works are completed, whichever is the earlier (unless the Secretary of State issues a further direction).
Access & Diversion: Please find an alternative route using Public Highways and Public Footpaths.

For all of the above temporary orders, pedestrian access to and egress from properties and land situated adjacent to the length of road to be closed will be maintained at all times. Vehicular access will be maintained where possible.
