What is happening?
Temporary Road Closure – Newlands Lane & Purbrook Heath Road, Southwick, Winchester
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council intends to make an order under S.14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to allow works to be carried out on or near the road.
ROADS TO BE CLOSED:
- That part of Newlands Lane between its junction with Purbrook Heath Road and the property known as Newlands Farm.
- That part of Purbrook Heath Road between its junction with Widley Walk and the property known as Rowans Hospice.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE:
Newlands Lane – Furzeley Corner, Furzeley Road, Forest Road, B2150, A3, Purbrook Heath Road.
Purbrook Heath Road – Widley Walk, B2177, A3.
DURATION OF ORDER: from 2nd September 2024 for a period of 6 months or until completion of the works whichever is sooner. (Notwithstanding, it is expected that the closure will be required for no longer than 3 days, working between the hours 09:30-15:30).
The road closure has been granted by Hampshire County Council to facilitate works for Openreach to carry out desilting works. If there are any queries or enquires regarding this Order, please contact: surveys@sunbeltrentals.co.uk
Openreach will provide reasonable facilities to allow access to adjacent premises and provide notice to those directly affected while the work is being carried out.
