LONDON BOROUGH OF MERTON
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1) LONDON BOROUGH OF MERTON (CHURCH PLACE. CR41 (TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice that to facilitate water main replacement works in Church Place, CR4, they intend to make an Order, the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic in the said road.
2. During the works no person would:-
(a) cause or permit any vehicle to enter or proceed in Church Place, between its junction with Church Road and its junction with Love Lane; or
(b) cause or permit any vehicle to wait, including for the purpose of loading or unloading a vehicle, in the road or length of road specified in sub-paragraph 2(a) above.
3. Any designated parking place situated in the length of Church Place specified in sub-paragraph 2(a) above would be suspended for the duration of the works.
4. The restrictions would only apply during such times and to such extent as would from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
5. Traffic affected by the road closure should proceed using Love Lane, Frimley Gardens, Miles Road and Church Road.
6. Nothing in the Order would apply to: -
(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; or
(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in jniform; or
(c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes, subject to site conditions; or
(d) any person requiring vehicular access to properties adjacent to the road or length of road specified in sub-paragraph 2(a) above insofar as access is reasonably practicable without interference with the said works.
7. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.
8. The Order would come into force on Monday 2nd September 2024 and it is anticipated that the works would be completed on Friday 6th September 2024. However, the Order would remain in operation for 12 months should further works be required.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1) LONDON BOROUGH OF MERTON (BODNANT GARDENS. RAYNES PARK! (NO. 2) (TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice that to facilitate duct works in Bodnant Gardens, Raynes Park, they have made an Order, the effect of which will be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic in the said road.
2. During the works, no person will cause or permit any vehicle to:-
(a) enter or proceed in Bodnant Gardens, between the common boundary of Nos. 49 and 50 Bodnant Gardens and the common boundary of Nos. 53 and 54 Bodnant Gardens;
(b) wait, including for the purpose of loading or unloading any vehicle, in the length of road specified in sub-paragraph (a) above.
3. The restrictions will only apply during such times and to such extent as will from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
4. Bodnant Gardens is a cul-de-sac and a diversion route is not applicable.
5. Nothing in the Order will apply to: -
(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; or
(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform; or
(c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes subject to site conditions; or
(d) any person requiring vehicular access to properties between the common boundary of Nos. 49 and 50 Bodnant Gardens and the cul-de-sac end of Bodnant Gardens or to properties in Stourhead Gardens or in Savill Gardens insofar as access is reasonably practicable without interference with the said works.
6. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.
7. The Order will come into operation at 9am on Wednesday 21st August 2024 and it is anticipated that the works will be completed the same day by 3.30pm. However, the Order will remain in force for a period of 3 months should further works be required.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1) LONDON BOROUGH OF MERTON (PUBLIC RIGHT OF WAY NO. 301 (TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice that to facilitate bridge repairs and associated works to the Alt Grove footbridge which forms part of Public Right of Way No. 30, they intend to make an Order, the effect of which would be to temporarily prohibit pedestrians from entering or proceeding in Public Right of Way No. 30, between Alt Grove and Dundonald Road.
2. The restrictions would only apply during such times and to such extent as would from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
3. Nothing in the Order would apply to: -
(a) any person engaged in the execution of the said works;
(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform.
4. Pedestrians affected by the footpath closure should proceed by way of Dundonald Road, Hartfield Crescent, Hartfield Road, Wimbledon Bridge, Wimbledon Hill Road, St George's Road and Alt Grove and vice-versa.
5. The Order would apply from Saturday 7th September 2024 and it is anticipated that works would take place from 7th September 2024 until Friday 1st November 2024 when the footpath would re-open until Friday 17th January 2025 for works which would necessitate further closure until Monday 20th January 2025. The Order would remain in operation for a maximum period of 6 months should further works be require.
