Sevenoaks, Multiple Temporary Traffic Regulation Notices

What is happening?

Highways

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

 SEVENOAKS AREA

B2024 CROYDON ROAD, WESTERHAM, TN16 1TY (30MPH SPEED LIMIT) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

For the safety of the public and workforce during UK Power Networks works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order for a temporary mandatory speed limit of 30mph to be imposed on a section of B2024 Croydon Road, Westerham from 9th September 2024, with estimated completion by 19th September 2024.

The 30mph speed limit will be between Farley Lane and Greencroft Farm Cottages.

B2042 GREEN LANE, FOUR ELMS, TN8 6PB (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of tree cutting works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of B2042 Green Lane, Four Elms, on or after 9th September 2024 for up to 1 day between 09.30hrs and 15.30hrs or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed at the junction with Roodlands Lane.

The alternative route is via B2042 Green Lane/Ide Hill Road/Wheatsheaf Hill/Cold Arbor Road, A25 Westerham Road/Main Road/High Street/Brasted Road, B2026 Hosey Hill/Hosey Common Road, B269 Main Road/Spout Lane/Pootings Road, B2042 Ide Hill Road and vice versa.

ASH PLATT ROAD, SEAL, TN15 0AB (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of SGN works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Ash Platt Road, Seal, on or after 9th September 2024 for up to 19 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Great Oaks.

There is no alternative route but access will be given when safe to do so.

BAYLEYS HILL, SEVENOAKS WEALD, TN14 6HT (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Bayleys Hill, Sevenoaks Weald, on or after 11th September 2024 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between Holly Bank and Hatchlands Farm.

The alternative route is via Bayleys Hill, White House Road, Gracious Lane Bridge, Oak Lane, A225 Tonbridge Road, Weald Road, Hubbards Hill, Glebe Road, Windmill Road, Long Barn Road, Bowzell Road and vice versa.

BLOWERS HILL, MARK BEECH, TN8 7DS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Blowers Hill, Mark Beech, from 22.00hrs on 9th September 2024, with estimated completion by 06.00hrs on 10th September 2024 or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed at the railway bridge.

The alternative route is via Station Road, Cow Lane, Cowden Pound Road, B2026 Hartfield Road, Blowers Hill and vice versa.

BRADBOURNE ROAD, SEVENOAKS, TN13 3TL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Bradbourne Road, Sevenoaks, on or after 29th August 2024 for up to 2 days between 09.30hrs and 15.30hrs or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between A225 St John’s Hill and number 22.

The alternative route is via Bradbourne Road, Amherst Road, A225 St Johns Road and vice versa.

COOPERS LANE, PENSHURST, TN11 8AT (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of drainage works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Coopers Lane, Penshurst, on or after 26th August 2024 for up to 6 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between Hamsell Farm and The Sheiling.

The alternative route is via Coopers Lane, Poundsbridge Hill and vice versa.

KNATTS VALLEY ROAD, KNATTS VALLEY, TN15 6XY (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of drainage works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Knatts Valley Road, Knatts Valley, on or after 27th August 2024 for up to 9 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between Botsom Lane and Knatts Lane.

The alternative route is via Knatts Lane, School Lane, A20 London Road, Botsom Lane, Knatts Valley Road and vice versa.

LOWER ROAD, HEXTABLE, BR8 7RZ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Lower Road, Hextable, on or after 29th August 2024 for up to 1 day between 09.30hrs and 15.30hrs or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Malt House Farm

The alternative route is via Lower Road, Goss Hill, B258 Barn End Lane, B258 Top Dartford Road, Home Hill and vice versa.

MILL LANE, UNDERRIVER, TN15 0SE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of a new gas connection, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Mill Lane, Underriver, on or after 27th August 2024 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Great Hollanden Farm.

The alternative route is via Mill Lane, Carters Hill, Park Lane, Blackhall Lane, B2019 Seal Hollow Road, A225 High Street/Tonbridge Road/Riverhill, B245 London Road and vice versa.

SHOREHILL LANE, KNATTS VALLEY, TN15 6XJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of SGN works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Shorehill Lane, Knatts Valley, on or after 9th September 2024 for up to 10 days between 8:00hrs to 16:00hrs or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Silverdale Cottage.

There is no alternative route but access will be given when safe to do so.

THE VILLAGE, CHIDDINGSTONE, TN8 7AH (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of The Village, Chiddingstone, on or after 26th August 2024 for up to 1 day between 09.30hrs and 15.30hrs or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Gilwyns.

The alternative route is via The Village, Hampkins Hill Road, Wellers Town Road, Ryewell Hill, Hoath Corner, Hoath Corner To Oakenden Lane, Truggers Lane To Grove Road, Grove Road, B2188 Fordcombe Road, B2188 High Street, B2176 Penshurst Road, B2176 Station Hill, B2176 Moorden Lane, B2027 Tonbridge Road, B2027 Chequers Hill, Mill Lane, Hill Hoath Road and vice versa.

VARIOUS ROADS, HALSTEAD, SEVENOAKS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of gas mains replacement works, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on Various Roads, Halstead, Sevenoaks, as per the schedule below. Only one road will be closed at a time.

Beldam Haw – Entire length30/08/24 - 04/10/24No Diversion
