LONDON BOROUGH OF MERTON
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1) LONDON BOROUGH OF MERTON (DUNDONALD ROAD AND HARTFIELD CRESCENT. SW19) (NO. 2) (TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
1. The London Borough of Merton Council hereby give notice that to facilitate tram track maintenance works at the Dundonald Road / Hartfield Crescent tram crossing, they intend to make an Order, the effect of which would be to temporarily prohibit vehicular traffic in Dundonald Road and Hartfield Crescent.
2. Whilst the works take place no person would:-
(a) cause or permit any vehicle to enter or proceed in:-
(i) Dundonald Road, between its junction with Hartfield Crescent and the north-east kerb-line of the service road leading to the Wimbledon West Goods Yard; and
(ii) Hartfield Crescent, between its junction with Dundonald Road and a point 2 metres south-west of the common boundary of Nos. 64 and 66 Hartfield Crescent;
(b) wait, including for the purpose of loading or unloading any vehicle, in the roads of lengths of road specified in sub-paragraphs (a)(i) and (ii) above.
3. During the works, the width restriction outside No. 14 Dundonald Road would be suspended.
4. The prohibition would only apply during such times and to such extent as would from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
5. Vehicular access to properties adjacent to the prohibited roads or lengths of road would be maintained insofar as access is reasonably practicable without interference with the said works.
6. Vehicular traffic affected by the road closure should proceed as follows:-
(a) north-eastbound via Fairlawn Road, Wilton Crescent, Kingston Road and Hartfield Road; or
(b) south-westbound via Hartfield Road, The Broadway, Sir Cyril Black Way, Hartfield Road, Kingston Road, Wilton Crescent and Fairlawn Road.
7. Nothing in the Order would apply to: -
(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; or
(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform; or
(c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes, subject to site conditions.
8. The Order would come into operation on Monday 2nd September 2024 and it is anticipated that the works would be completed by 15th September 2024. However, the Order would remain in force for 3 months should further works be required.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)
LONDON BOROUGH OF MERTON (VARIOUS ROADS) (NO. 81 (TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice that to facilitate highway improvement works in Graham Avenue, Graham Road, Manship Road, Sandy Lane and Streatham Road, they intend to make an Order, the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic in the said roads.
2. During the works, no person would cause or permit any vehicle to:-
(a) enter or proceed in:-
(i) Graham Avenue, from the south-eastern kerb-line of Streatham Road south-eastward for a distance of 15 metres;
(ii) Graham Road, from the south-eastern kerb-line of Streatham Road south-eastward for a distance of 15 metres;
(iii) Manship Road, from the north-western kerb-line of Streatham Road north-westward for a distance of 15 metres;
(iv) Sandy Lane, from the south-eastern kerb-line of Streatham Road south-eastward for a distance of 15 metres;
(b) cause or permit any vehicle to wait, including for the purpose of loading or unloading any vehicle, in Streatham Road, from its junction with London Road to a point 15 metres north-east of its junction with Sandy Lane, or in the roads or lengths of road specified in sub-paragraphs (a)(i) to (iv) above.
3. Any length of designated parking place situated in the roads or lengths of road specified in paragraph 2 above would be suspended for the duration of the works.
4. The restrictions would apply only during such times and to such extent as would from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
5. Vehicular traffic affected by the road closures should proceed using local roads as indicated by signage.
6. Nothing in the Order would apply to: -
(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform; or
(b) any person carrying out the works or any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; or
(c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes, subject to site conditions;
(d) so as to prevent vehicular access to premises adjacent to the roads or length of road specified in sub-paragraph 2(a)(i) to (iv) above insofar as access is reasonably practicable without interference with the works.
7. The Order would come into force on Tuesday 27th August 2024 with the works expected to be carried out in multiple phases until Friday 20th December 2024, generally between the hours of 8am and 5pm on Mondays to Fridays. The Order would remain in force for a maximum of 12 months should further works be required.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)
(BUSHEY ROAD. SW20) (TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
1. The London Borough of Merton Council hereby give notice that to facilitate planned street lighting maintenance works to be undertaken in Bushey Road, they intend to make an Order, the effect of which, during the works, would be to temporarily prohibit vehicular traffic from entering, proceeding in or waiting, including in any parking places, in those lengths of Bushey Road specified in column 1 of the Schedule to this notice.
2. Any designated parking place situated in any of the roads or lengths of roads specified in column 1 of the Schedule to this notice would be suspended for the duration of the works in those roads or lengths of roads.
3. Alternative routes for diverted traffic would be indicated by advance warning and diversion signs on the roads affected when the works are in progress but would likely be those diversion routes specified in column 2 of the Schedule to this notice.
4. The restrictions would apply only during such times and to such extent as would from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
5. Any vehicle that is in contravention of any waiting restrictions imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.
6. Nothing in the Order would apply to: -
(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; or
(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform; or
(c) emergency service vehicles, subject to site conditions; or
(d) any person requiring vehicular access to properties adjacent to the prohibited roads or lengths of roads insofar as access is reasonably practicable without interference with the said work. (Traffic marshals will be in place to assist access and egress when possible).
7. The Order would come into force on Monday 2 September 2024 and the anticipated works dates and times are specified in column 3 of the Schedule to this notice. However, the Order would remain in operation for a maximum period of 12 months and its provisions would be re-introduced should further works be required.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1) LONDON BOROUGH OF MERTON (WALNUT TREE AVENUE. MITCHAM) (TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice that to facilitate gas mains replacement works in Walnut Tree Avenue, Mitcham, they intend to make an Order, the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic in the said road.
2. During the works, no person would cause or permit any vehicle to:-
(a) enter or proceed in Walnut Tree Avenue, from its junction with De'Arn Gardens to its north-easternmost extremity; or
(b) wait, including for the purposes of loading or unloading, in the road specified in sub-paragraph (a) above.
3. Any designated parking place situated in the road specified in paragraph 2 above would be suspended for the duration of the works.
4. The restrictions would only apply during such times and to such extent as would from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
5. Walnut Tree Avenue is a cul-de-sac and a diversion route is not applicable.
6. Nothing in the Order would apply to: -
(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; or
(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform; or
(c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes, subject to site conditions; or
(d) any person requiring vehicular access to properties adjacent to the prohibited roads or lengths of roads insofar as access is reasonably practicable without interference with the said works.
7. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any waiting prohibition imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.
8. The Order would come into operation on Friday 23 August 2024 and the works are anticipated to be completed by 6 September 2024. However, the Order would remain in force for 6 months should further works be required.

Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.
9. The Order would apply from 11pm on Friday 6th September 2024 until 5am on Monday 9th September 2024.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1) LONDON BOROUGH OF MERTON (THRUPP CLOSE. MITCHAM) (TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC! ORDER 2024
1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice that to facilitate telecommunication works in Thrupp Close, Mitcham, they intend to make an Order, the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict vehicular and pedestrian traffic in the said road.
2. During the works, no person would:-
(a) cause or permit any vehicle to wait, including for the purpose of loading or unloading any vehicle, in Thrupp Close, the north-west side, from the north-eastern boundary of No. 44 Thrupp Close, to its south-westernmost extremity;
(b) enter or proceed in the north-western footway of Thrupp Close adjacent to the length of road specified in sub-paragraph (a) above.
3. Any designated parking place situated in the road or length of road specified in sub-paragraph 2(a) above would be suspended for the duration of the works.
4. The restrictions would only apply during such times and to such extent as would from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
5. Pedestrians affected by the footway closure should proceed using the remaining open footway in Thrupp Close.
6. Nothing in the Order would apply: -
(a) to any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; or
(b) to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform; or
(c) to any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes subject to site conditions; or
(d) so as to prevent pedestrian access to the properties adjacent to the length of footway specified in sub-paragraph 2(b) above.
7. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.
