ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)
LONDON BOROUGH OF MERTON
(PUBLIC RIGHT OF WAY NO. 441 (TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice that to facilitate bridge repairs and associated works to the Elm Grove footbridge which forms part of Public Right of Way No. 44, they intend to make an Order, the effect of which would be to temporarily prohibit pedestrians from entering or proceeding in Public Right of Way No. 44, between Elm Grove and Merton Hall Road.
2. The restrictions would only apply during such times and to such extent as would from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
3. Nothing in the Order would apply to: -
(a) any person engaged in the execution of the said works;
(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform.
4. Pedestrians affected by the footpath closure should proceed by way of Merton Hall Road, Toynbee Road, Lower Downs Road, Worple Road and Elm Grove or vice-versa.
5. The Order would apply from Saturday 7th September 2024 and it is anticipated that works would take place from 7th September 2024 until Monday 9th September 2024, when the footpath would re-open until Thursday 24th October 2024 for works which would necessitate further closure until Monday 20th January 2025. The Order would remain in operation for a maximum period of 6 months should further works be require.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1) LONDON BOROUGH OF MERTON (BATHGATE ROAD. SW191 (TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice that to facilitate water leakage survey works in Bathgate Road, SW19, they intend to make an Order, the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic in the said road.
2. During the works no person would cause or permit any vehicle to:-
(a) enter or proceed in Bathgate Road, between the common boundary of Nos. 37 and 39 Bathgate Road and the north-eastern boundary of No. 41 Bathgate Road; or
(b) wait, including for the purposes of loading or unloading, in the road or length of road specified in sub-paragraph (a) above.
3. Any designated parking place situated in the road or length of road specified in sub-paragraph 2(a) above would be suspended.
4. The restrictions would only apply during such times and to such extent as would from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
5. Vehicular traffic affected by the road closure should proceed via Queensmere Road and Seymour Road or vice-versa.
6. Nothing in the Order would apply to: -
(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; or
(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform; or
(c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes, subject to site conditions; or
(d) any person requiring vehicular access to properties adjacent to the prohibited road or length of road insofar as access is reasonably practicable without interference with the said works.
7. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any waiting prohibition imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.
8. The Order would come into operation on Thursday 5th September 2024 and it is anticipated that the works would be completed the following day. However, the Order would remain in force for 3 months should further works be required.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)
(LONDON ROAD. MITCHAM! (TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
1. The London Borough of Merton Council hereby give notice that to facilitate electricity connection works to be undertaken in London Road, Mitcham they have made an Order, the effect of which will be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic in the said road.
2. During the works, no person will cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the easternmost (southbound) lane of London Road, Mitcham between its junction with Upper Green East and the common boundary of Nos. 245 and 247 London Road.
3. The restrictions will apply only during such times and to such extent as will from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
4. Vehicular traffic affected by the lane closure should proceed using Raleigh Gardens, Upper Green West (as applicable), Upper Green East, London Road, Commonside West southbound, the Carshalton Road roundabout, Commonside West northbound, Madeira Road, Cricket Green, London Road northbound, Lower Green West and London Road northbound.
5. Nothing in the Order will apply: -
(a) to any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; or
(b) to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or police community support officer in uniform; or
(c) to any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes, subject to site conditions; or
(d) so as to prevent vehicular access to premises in or adjacent to the lengths of road specified in paragraph 2 above, insofar as access is reasonably practicable without interference with the said works.
6. The Order will come into operation on Monday 19th August 2024, with the works anticipated to be completed on Friday 23rd August 2024. However, the Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 3 months and its provisions will be re-introduced during that period should further works be required.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1) LONDON BOROUGH OF MERTON (LEAFIELD ROAD. SW20! (TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
1. The London Borough of Merton Council hereby give notice that to facilitate new water connection works in Leafield Road, SW20, they have made an Order, the effect of which will be to temporarily restrict pedestrian and vehicular traffic in the said road.
2. During the works, no person will:-
(a) cause or permit any vehicle to enter or proceed in Leafield Road, from its junction with Aylward Road to its junction with Mostyn Road; or
(b) cause or permit any vehicle to wait, including for the purpose of loading or unloading any vehicle, in Leafield Road, from its junction with Aylward Road to a point 10 metres north-east of the common boundary of Nos. 25 and 27 Leafield Road; or
(c) enter or proceed on the north-eastern footway of Leafield Road from its junction with Aylward Road to a point 10 metres north-east of the common boundary of Nos. 25 and 27 Leafield Road.
3. Any designated parking place situated in the road or length of road specified in sub-paragraphs 2(b) above will be suspended.
4. Vehicular traffic affected by the road closure should proceed using Cannon Hill Lane, Springfield Avenue, Martin Way and Mostyn Road or Mostyn Road, Kingston Road and Cannon Hill Lane.
5. The restriction and suspension will apply only during such times and to such extent as will from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
6. Any vehicle that is in contravention of any waiting restrictions imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.
7. Nothing in this Order will apply: -
(a) to any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; or
(b) to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or police community support officer in uniform; or
(c) to any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes, subject to site conditions; or
(d) so as to prevent vehicular access to premises in or adjacent to the length of road specified in sub-paragraph 2(a) above insofar as access is reasonably practicable without interference with the said works;
(e) so as to prevent pedestrian access to properties adjacent to the length of footway specified in sub-paragraph 2(c) above.
8. The Order will come into force on Monday 19th August 2024 and the works are anticipated to be completed on Friday 23rd August 2024. However, the Order will remain in force for 12 months should further works be required.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)
LONDON BOROUGH OF MERTON (VARIOUS ROADS! (NO. 9! (TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice that to facilitate sewer cleaning works in Church Road, London Road and Lower Green West, Mitcham, they intend to make an Order, the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict traffic in the said roads and in Church Place, Glebe Path, Morland Close, and Preshaw Crescent.
2. During the works, no person would cause or permit any vehicle to: -
(a) proceed other than in a:-
(i) south-westbound direction in London Road, between its northernmost junction with Lower Green West and its junction with Raleigh Gardens;
(ii) westbound direction in Church Road, between its junction with Lower Green West, the south-west arm, and its junction with Hallowfield Way;
(b) enter or proceed in:-
(i) Church Place, from its junction with Lower Green West northward for a distance of 10 metres;
(ii) Church Road, the eastbound lane, between its junction with Lower Green West and its junction with Hallowfield Way;
(Mi) Glebe Path, from its junction with Lower Green West northward for a distance of 15 metres;
(iv) London Road, the north-eastbound lane(s) between its northernmost junction with Lower Green West and its junction with Raleigh Gardens;
(v) Lower Green West, the northern arm; the northernmost half, between the westernmost island site at the junction of the two arms of Lower Green West and its junction with London Road;
(vi) Morland Close, from its junction with Lower Green West northward for a distance of 10 metres;
(vii) Preshaw Crescent, from its junction with Lower Green West northward for a distance of 10 metres;
(c) wait, including for the purpose of loading or unloading any vehicle on both sides of the roads or lengths of road specified in paragraph 2(b) above.
3. The restrictions would only apply during such times and to such extent as would from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
4. Nothing in the Order would apply to: -
(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform; or
(b) any vehicle engaged in the execution of the said works; or
(c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes, subject to site conditions; or
(d) any person requiring vehicular access to properties adjacent to the prohibited roads or lengths of road insofar as access is reasonably practicable without interference with the said works.
5. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any waiting prohibition imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.
6. During the road closures, vehicular traffic should proceed using one or more of the following roads:-
Church Road, Christehurch Road, Commonside West, Cricket Green, Madeira Road, Prince Georges Road, Tandem Way, Upper Green East, Upper Green West and Western Road or other local roads as directed by signage.
7. The Order would come into operation on Wednesday 4th September 2024 and it is anticipated that the works would be completed on Thursday 5th September 2024. However, the Order would remain in force for 6 months and its provisions would be re-introduced during that time should further works be required.
