NOTICE IS GIVEN that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an order the effect of which will be to temporarily introduce a road closure in that length of Ragland Lane, Fairfield Park, Bath from its junction with Solsbury Way extending east to its junction with Ragland Street/Kingsdown View. USRN: 47901281.
This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road to enable Openreach to carry out a pole replacement on the 2nd September 2024 for a maximum period of 6 months. The road will only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and may not be affected for the whole of the period but only for so long as is necessary to execute the works.
This is anticipated to be for ONE DAY between 08:30-15:30hrs only.

Traffic will not be able to turn left from New Bond Street towards Broad Street and will only be able to turn right onto Northgate Street towards Bridge Street/Grand Parade. Traffic heading northbound on High Street will not be able to continue onto Northgate Street and will be diverted onto Bridge Street to pick up the diversion route.
This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road due to a mobile crane operation to lift chillers and equipment to the roof of Waitrose on the 31st August 2024 for a maximum period of 6 months.
