(Temporary Prohibition of Use) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended).
Effect of the order: To temporarily close Footpath 3, and Footpath 4 Weeley in the District of Tendring As below.

The alternative routes for both closures will be signed on site and marked by Heras fencing.
The Order will come into effect on 24 August 2024 and may continue in force for 6 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Amendment No. 52) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that Essex County Council has made the above Order under Sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3), 3(2), 4(1), 4(2), 32(1), 35(1), 35, 46, 49 and 53 and Part III and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended).

Application to the high court: Anyone who wishes to question the validity of the Order or any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act, or any instrument made under it, has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may within six weeks from the date of the making of the Order apply to the High Court for this purpose.

(20mph Zone) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council Has Made the above Order under sections 84 (1)(a) and (2), and Part III of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended).
Effect of the order: To Implement: a ‘20mph Zone’

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Bounstead Hill, Layer-de-la-Haye in the City of Colchester, from its junction with Abberton Road for distance of approximately 240m in a north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 11th September 2024 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2355514 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
An alternative route is available via Abberton Road, Malting Green Road, High Road, Layer Road, Berechurch Hall Road, Berechurch Road, Bounstead Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 22nd August 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Boxted Church Road, Great Horkesley in the City of Colchester, from its junction with Holly Lane for a distance of approximately 20m in a north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 9th September 2024 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AD01310766421 – Anglian Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new water connection works are undertaken by Anglian Water.
An alternative route is available via Nayland Road, Horkesley Hill, Park Road, Burnt Dick Hill and vice versa (with access only Boxted Church Road, Church Road).
The Order will come into effect on 22nd August 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Cannon Street, Colchester in the City of Colchester, from a point approximately 20m south of its junction with Barrack Street for a distance of approximately 20m in a southerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 9th September 2024 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AD01310714603 – Anglian Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Catherine Hunt Way, Colchester in the City of Colchester, from a point approximately 25m south east of its junction with Sparling Close for a distance of approximately 30m in a south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 9th September 2024 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AD01310765578 – Anglian Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new water connection works are undertaken by Anglian Water.

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Halstead Road, Eight Ash Green in the City of Colchester, from a point approximately 290m north west of its junction with Wood Lane for a distance of approximately 130m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 11th September 2024 for 2 nights (21:00 – 05:00), or where stated on a valid permit (EP022310111245 – Knight Group). (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Lamberts Lane, Chappel in the City of Colchester, from a point approximately 1730m north west then north east of its junction with Earls Colne Road for a distance of approximately 130m in a north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 16th September 2024 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EC3008913489 – UK Power Networks). (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Malting Farm Lane, Ardleigh in the District of Tendring, from a point approximately 50m west of its junction with Dedham Road for a distance of approximately 70m in a westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 11th September 2024 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (BC0008WF4MT630S1 – Openreach). Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Mountbatten Drive, Colchester in the City of Colchester, from its junction with Abbots Road to its other junction with Abbots Road a distance of approximately 660m. (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
Phase 1: To temporarily close that length of Serpentine Walk, Colchester in the City of Colchester, from its junction with Catchpool Road to its junction with Margaret Road a distance of approximately 145m.
Phase 2: To temporarily close that length of Margaret Road, Colchester in the City of Colchester, from its junction with Serpentine Walk for a distance of approximately 120m in a south easterly direction.
Phase 3: To temporarily close that length of Margaret Road, Colchester in the City of Colchester, from a point approximately 120m south east of its junction with Serpentine Walk to its junction with Mercers Way a distance of approximately 170m.
Phase 4: To temporarily close that length of Serpentine Walk, Colchester in the City of Colchester from its junction with Margaret Road to its junction with Albert Street a distance of approximately 155m and Mercers Road, Colchester in the City of Colchester from its junction with Serpentine Walk for a distance of approximately 5m in a south easterly direction.
