What is happening?

EAST SUSSEX COUNTY COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

The East Sussex (B2204 Tellis Coppice/Horns Corner/The Green/The Stream, Catsfield) (Temporary 30 mph Speed Limit) Order 2024

To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1) (b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily restrict all traffic using the following lengths of road to a speed not exceeding 30 mph:-

Temporary 30 mph Speed Limit

Tellis Coppice/Horns Corner/The Green/The Stream – from the junction with A271 Kitchenham Road to the junction with B2204 Catsfield Road.

The Order commences 19 August 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until the works are completed, whichever is the earlier. However, it is anticipated the speed restriction will be in place on 19 and 20 August 2024.

The East Sussex (U6968 Watermill Lane, Icklesham) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

To allow Openreach to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1) (b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Watermill Lane – from the junction with A259(T) Main Road to Place Farm.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via A259(T) Main Road, The Thorne, Rye Road, Winchelsea Road, White Hart Hill – C23 Friars Hill, Pett Road – U6968 Watermill Lane and vice versa. The Order commenced 22 April 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 20 August 2024, depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (C417 Kings Bank Lane, Beckley) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024 No.2

To allow UKPN to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1) (b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Kings Bank Lane – from the junction with B2088 Main Street to the junction with U6415 Horseshoe Lane.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via B2088 Main Street – U6415 Horseshoe Lane and vice versa.

The Order commences 22 August 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 22 August 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (U3218 Gurth Road, Hastings) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1) (b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Gurth Road – from the junction with U3218 Boyne Road to the junction with U3214 Harold Road.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with a route for through traffic via U3214 Harold Road – U3217 Barley Lane – U3218 Gurth Road.

The Order commences 19 August 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 19 August 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (U3252 Frederick Road, Hastings) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

To allow SGN to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1) (b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Frederick Road – from the junction with U3255 Farley Bank to the junction with U3098 Deepdene Gardens.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U3252 Frederick Road – B2093 The Ridge, Old London Road – A259 Old London Road – C551 Priory Road – U3252 Frederick Road and vice versa.

The Order commences 19 August 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 19 August and 13 September 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (C92 Fairlight Road, Hastings) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

To allow Southern Water to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1) (b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Fairlight Road – from the junction with U3240 Middle Road to the junction with U3240 The Broadway.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C92 Fairlight Road – A259 Old London Road, Rye Road – A259(T) Winchelsea Road – C23 Friars Hill, Pett Road, Chick Hill – C92 Pett Level Road, Battery Hill, Fairlight Road and vice versa.

The Order commences 19 August 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 19 and 21 August 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (C213 Willards Hill, Robertsbridge) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

To allow South East Water to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1) (b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Willards Hill – from the junction with C18 Brightling Road to the junction with U6198 Fontridge Lane.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C213 Ludpit Lane, Oxenbridge Lane – A265 High Street, Haremere Hill, Station Road – A21(T) London Road, Silverhill, Northbridge Street roundabout – C18 Northbridge Street, High Street, Station Road, Brightling Road and vice versa.

The Order commences 19 August 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 19 and 20 August 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (U6895 Fysie Lane, Etchingham) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024 No.2

To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1) (b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Fysie Lane – from the junction with U6196 Burgh Hill to the junction with C213 Church Lane.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C213 Sheepstreet Lane – C83 Myskyns Road – C212 Battenhurst Road, Shrub Lane – A265 Etchingham Road, Straight Mile, High Street – U6196 Burgh Hill and vice versa.

The Order commences 19 August 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 19 August and 6 September 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (A2101 Queens Road, Hastings) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024 No.2

To allow SGN to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1) (b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Queens Road – from the junction with U3183 Cornwallis Street to the junction with U3169 South Terrace.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic westbound via A2101 Queens Road, Albert Road – A259 Denmark Place, White Rock, Verulam Place, Eversfield Place, Grand Parade – A2102 London Road – A21 London Road, Sedlescombe Road North – A2101 St Helens Road, Park Gates roundabout, Queens Road and eastbound via A2101 Queens Road, Park Gates roundabout, St Helens Road – A21 Sedlescombe Road North, London Road – A2102 London Road, Norman Road, Warrior Square – A259 Grand Parade, Eversfield Place, Verulam Place, White Rock, Denmark Place – A2101 Albert Road, Queens Road.

The Order commences 17 August 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 17 and 26 August 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (A21 Sedlescombe Road North, St Leonards-on-Sea) (Temporary 30 mph Speed Limit)  Order 2024 No.2

To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1) (b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily restrict all traffic using the following lengths of road to a speed not exceeding 30 mph:

Temporary 30 mph Speed Limit

Sedlescombe Road North – from Dunelm to the boundary with the A21(T) Sedlescombe Road North.

The Order commences 2 September 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 2 September 2024 and 31 January 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (U3277 Elim Walk, Hastings) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

To allow NIO Comm to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1) (b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure Elim Walk – from no.1 to no.6.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible.

The Order commences 2 September 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier.

However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 2 and 13 September 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1) (b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Junction Road – from the junction with B2165 Cripps Corner Road to the junction with P6942 Compass Park.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via B2165 Cripps Corner Road – B2089 Swailes Green, Hooks Beech – A21(T) Vinehall Road, Johns Cross Road, Robertsbridge bypass, Northbridge Street roundabout, Silverhill, London Road – A229 Coopers Corner, Horns Hill – A229 Horns Hill (KCC), Horns Road (KCC) – B2244 Hastings Road (KCC) – B2244 Hawkhurst Road, Junction Road and vice versa.

The Order commences 2 September 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken as detailed below depending upon the weather conditions. On 2 September 2024

Whitworth Road – from the junction with A2100 Junction Road for the full extent of the East Sussex Highways adopted highway. Restriction is anticipated to be in place between 2 September 2024 and 31 January 2025

The Order commences 2 September 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier.
