What is happening?

City of Stoke-on-Trent (Traffic Regulation) (Various Provisions) (No.5) Order, 2024.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Stoke on Trent propose to make an Order under Sections 1, 2, 4, 32, 35, 45, 46, 51 and 122 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984. The effect of this Order is as follows:-

1.To provide 1 Hr limited waiting and S2 permit parking in Beresford Street (N Side) between College Rd and Guildford St.
2.To provide limited waiting in Hayes Street (NW Side) between the points 10m and 30m from Chell Heath Road.
3.To provide limited waiting in Hartshill Road (N Side) between Cumming St and Allen St.
4.To provide a loading only bay in Caroline St between the points 58m and 78m SW of Lower Cross St.
5.To provide a loading only bay in Moorland Rd (SE Side) between points 20m and 30m east of Swan Square.
6.To provide a loading only bay in Queen Street (S Side) between points 12m and 27m west of Waterloo Road.
7.To prohibit loading/unloading on the NW Side of Watergate Street
8.To prohibit parking on Entrance Markings with Ubberley Rd between points 10m and 53m SE of Ford Hayes Lane.
9.To prohibit waiting on event days on Cockster Brook Lane (S Side) and Valley Park Way (E Side)
10.To introduce double yellows around the junctions of - Atholl Road/Hamilton Road, Carlisle St/Coben St, Carlisle St/Ricardo St, Chaplin Rd/Hales Pl, Chivelstone Gr/Forestside Grove, Cockster Brook Ln/Vaslley Park Way, Cumming St/Minton St, Cumming St/Nelson Rd, Diarmid Rd/Mayne St, Dorset Cl/Werrington Rd, Forrister Rd/Conrad Cl, Nashe Dr/Congreve Gr, Trent Valley Rd/ Gladstone Pl, Harpfield Rd/Collin Rd, Chell Heath Rd/Hayes St, Langland Dr/Thackeray Dr, Old Tramway/China St, Princess Drive/Field View, Weston Coyney Rd/Weston Dr.
11.To introduce double yellow lines on
(i)Birches Head Rd (NW Side) from Widecombe Rd to Canal Bridge
(ii)Chesterwood Road from Acreswood Rd to Tregowan Cl.
(iii)Chivelstone Gr (SW) between points 75m and 143m SE of Burrington Dr
(iv)Diarmid Rd (N) between points 15m and 30m east of Mayne St.
(v)Fenpark Rd (N) between points 27m and 52m east of Colville St
(vi)Summer St (SW) - The whole
(vii)Bagot Gr (W) 59m S of Fitzherbert Rd following the kerb line for 16m
(viii)Torside Gr (SE Side) The whole of the turning head opposite property Nos 3/5
12.To prohibit waiting 9am-5pm of Hayes St (SE) between Chell Heath Rd and Edward Davies St.
13.To revoke the provisions in so far as they are affected by the restrictions imposed by this Order.

Full details of these proposals, including plans and the City Council’s statement of the reasons for proposing to make this Order may be examined online at stoke.traffweb.app. If you wish to object to the proposed Order you should send your objections, together with the grounds thereof, in writing by e-mail to traffic.orders@stoke.gov.uk, quoting reference: MB/NM/TRO5/2024, by the 6th day of September 2024.
