What is happening?

Highways

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

ASHFORD AREA

AMAGE ROAD, WYE, TN25 5PL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER SEPTEMBER 2024

To allow tree cutting works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Amage Road, Wye, from 9th September 2024, for up to one day, between the hours of 08.30 and 18.00, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction with Spelders Hill, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via The Street, Spelders Hill, Nats Lane, Naccolt Road, Oxenturn Road, Upper Bridge Street, Scotton Street, Coldharbour Lane, Amage Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

BROOK STREET, WOODCHURCH. (TEMPORARY 40 MPH SPEED RESTRICTION) TEMPORARY ORDER SEPTEMBER 2024

To allow cover and frame works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to impose a temporary mandatory 40 mph speed restriction on part of Brook Street, Woodchurch, on or after 9th September 2024, for up to 5 days, or until the works have been completed.

The temporary mandatory 40 mph speed restriction on Brook Street, Woodchurch will be imposed 300 meters in either direction from Sandhill House, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

OXENTURN ROAD, WYE. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER AUGUST 2024

To allow pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Oxenturn Road, Wye, from 29th August 2024, for up to one day, between the hours of 09.30 and 15.30, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of ‘The Hermitage’, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via Oxenturn Road, Upper Bridge Street, High Street, Churchfield Way, Bridge Street, Bramble Lane, A28 Canterbury Road, A2070 Willesborough Road, A2070 Kennington Road, A20 Hythe Road, Honeysuckle Avenue, Hinxhill Road, Naccolt Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

SCHOOL ROAD, APPLEDORE, TN26 2AX (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER SEPTEMBER 2024

To allow utility works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of School Road, Appledore, on or after 9th September 2024, for up to 7 days, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of Griffin House, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via School Road, B2080 Tenterden Road and Heath Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

SCHOOL ROAD, APPLEDORE, TN26 2AX (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER SEPTEMBER 2024

To allow repair works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of School Road, Appledore, from 19.00 hours on 10th September 2024, with estimated completion by 17.00 hours on 12th September 2024, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of Griffin Farm, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via School Road, Tenterden Road, Heath Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

SHEEPFOLD LANE, KINGSNORTH, TN23 3LL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER AUGUST 2024

To allow maintenance works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Sheepfold Lane, Kingsnorth, from 29th August 2024, with estimated completion by 30th August 2024, between the hours of 08.00 and 18.00, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction with Bluebell Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

These works are in conjunction with two-way lights on Bluebell Road at the junction with Sheepfold Lane.

The alternative route is via Bluebell Road, Moat Field Meadow, Roman Way and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

TOP ROAD, TENTERDEN. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER SEPTEMBER 2024

To allow repair works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Top Road, Tenterden, on or after 9th September 2024, for up to 4 days, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of Little Prawls Farm, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via Church Road, The Street, Catts Hill, Top Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
