TEMPORARY CLOSING OF BRIDLEWAY ALDENHAM 13 & FOOTPATH ALDENHAM 17
NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council have made an Order under
Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit pedestrians,
horseriders, and cyclists from using that length of Bridleway Aldenham 13 &
Footpath Aldenham 17, for an approximate distance of 120 & 90m.
Alternative route: no suitable alternative on PRoW network
The purpose of the Order is to enable pylon works to take place.
The section of Bridleway will be closed on or after 09 August 2024 for up
to 5 weeks, when signs are in place.

(TEMPORARY 40MPH SPEED RESTRICTIONS ON B5378 SHENLEY LANE, LONDON COLNEY) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from being driven at a speed exceeding 40mph on that length of B5378 Shenley Lane, London Colney from a point in line with the northern boundary of No.153 Shenley Lane south eastwards, southwards and south eastwards for a distance of approximately 351m ("the Road"), when signs are in place.
The Order is needed because water service connection works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 2 September 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road. (TEMPORARY CLOSING OF A1081 CHEQUER STREET, ST ALBANS) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the southbound carriageway of A1081 Chequer Street, St Albans from a point 46m north east of a point in line with the northern boundary of No.10 Chequer Street south westwards for a distance of approximately 46m ("the Road").
An alternative route will be via A1081 (Chequer Street/St Peters Street), A4147 (Catherine Street/Folly Lane), A5183 (Folly Lane/Verulam Road/High Street) and A1081 Chequer Street.
The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 3 September 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road. (TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN VARIOUS ROADS IN LONDON COLNEY, ST ALBANS AND WHEATHAMPSTEAD) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads ("the Roads"), except for access and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:-
1. that length of A1081 London Colney Bypass, London Colney from its junction with the A414 London Colney roundabout south eastwards to its junction with the A1081 The Bell roundabout, a distance of approximately 2185m.
An alternative route will be via A414 North Orbital Road, A1001 Roehyde Way, the A1(M) and the M25 or via A414 North Orbital Road, A5183 (Watling Street/ Park Street/Frogmore/Radlett Road/Watling Street), B556 (Harper Lane/Bell Lane) and A1081 Bell Link Overbridge.
2. that length of Beechtree Lane, St Albans from its junction with A4147 Hemel Hempstead Road north westwards and north eastwards for its entire length. There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
3. that length of Amwell Lane, Wheathampstead from its junction with Brewhouse Hill south westwards to its junction with Down Green Lane, a distance of approximately 651m.
An alternative route will be via Brewhouse Hill, Butterfield Road, B651 (The Hill/Wheathampstead Road), Ferrers Lane and Down Green Lane.
4. that length of Down Green Lane, Wheathampstead from its junction with Amwell Lane south eastwards to its junction with Ferrers Lane, a distance of approximately 929m.
An alternative route will be via Amwell Lane, Brewhouse Hill, Butterfield Road, B651 (The Hill/Wheathampstead Road) and Ferrers Lane. The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 2 September 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads. NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads ("the Roads") and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:-
1. that length of Cotton Mill Lane, St Albans from a point 50m south west of its junction with Cottonmill Crescent south westwards for a distance of approximately 62m.
An alternative route will be via Cottonmill Lane, Old London Road, Sopwell Lane, Thorpe Road, Belmont Hill, A5183 Holywell Hill, Prospect Road and Cottonmill Lane.
2. that length of Highfield Park Drive, St Albans from its junction with the A1081 London Road roundabout north eastwards for a distance of approximately 298m. An alternative route will be via A1081 London Road, Drakes Drive, Frobisher Road, Hill End Lane, Nightingale Lane and Highfield Park Drive.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 2 September 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following length of road ("the Road"), except for access and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of Road whilst works are in progress:-1. that length of A5183 Park Street/A5183 Frogmore, St Albans from its junction with St Stephen Public Footpath No.086 south eastwards for a distance of approximately 425m.
An alternative route will be via A5183 (Park Street/Watling Street), A414 North Orbital Road, A1081 (London Colney Bypass/Bell Link Overbridge), B556 (Bell Lane/Harper Lane) and A5183 (Watling Street/Radlett Road/Frogmore). The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 19 August 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. (TEMPORARY CLOSING OF COLES LANE, HARPENDEN) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Coles Lane, Harpenden from its junction with Kennel Lane north westwards for a distance of approximately 400m ("the Road"), except for access.
An alternative route will be via Coles Lane, Annables Lane, The Common, A1081 (Luton Road/London Road), Half Moon Lane, Pepsal End Lane, C156 (unnamed road) and Coles Lane. The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 19 August 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Downedge, St Albans from its junction with Batchwood Drive south eastwards for its entire length ("the Road"). An alternative route will be via Batchwood Drive, Links View and Ladies Grove. The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 16 August 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road. (TEMPORARY CLOSING OF MOUNT PLEASANT LANE, BRICKET WOOD) ORDER NO.2 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Mount Pleasant Lane, Bricket Wood from a point 24m north west of its junction with School Lane north westwards for a distance of approximately 60m ("the Road"). An alternative route will be via Mount Pleasant Lane, Station Road, Lye Lane, West Riding and Mount Pleasant Lane.
The Order is needed because wingwalls repair works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 2 September 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. (TEMPORARY CLOSING OF LOWBELL LANE, LONDON COLNEY AND LONDON COLNEY PUBLIC FOOTPATH NO.021) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be:-
1. To prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Lowbell Lane, London Colney from its junction with Barnet Road north eastwards for its entire length ("the Road"), except for access.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
2. To prohibit all pedestrians from using London Colney Public Footpath No.021 from its junction with Lowbell Lane north eastwards for a distance of approximately 212m ("the Public Footpath").
There is no alternative route available for pedestrians when the works are being carried out. However pedestrian access to properties along this public footpath will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road and Public Footpath.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 22 August 2024 for a period of up to 6 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road and Public Footpath.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF THE SERVICE ROAD LEADING TO NOS.301-305 WATFORD ROAD, CHISWELL GREEN) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the service road leading to Nos.301-305 Watford Road, Chiswell Green from its junction with Tippendell Lane south westwards for its entire length ("the Road").
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works. The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect on the following lengths of roads ("the Roads") will be:-
1. To prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the Napsbury Lane eastbound slip road leading onto the eastbound carriageway of A414 North Orbital Road, St Albans from a point 71 m north west of its junction with the eastbound carriageway of A414 North Orbital Road south eastwards for a distance of approximately 71m.
An alternative route will be via B5378 (Napsbury Lane/Shenley Lane), A414 North Orbital Road, the A414 Watling Street roundabout and A414 North Orbital Road.
2. To prohibit all vehicles from being driven at a speed exceeding 30mph on the eastbound carriageway of A414 North Orbital Road, St Albans from a point in line with the eastern boundary of No.43A Napsbury Lane south eastwards and eastwards for a distance of approximately 450 m, when signs are in place.
The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 19 August 2024 for a period of up to 18 months.
