Highways Notice

NOTICE OF TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC – ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – Various Roads in Macclesfield

Notice is hereby given that the Cheshire East Borough Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and of all other enabling powers proposes to make an order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic.

Prohibition of traffic – Mill Street, Macclesfield – For the full extent.

Exchange Street, Macclesfield – For the full extent
Park Lane, Macclesfield – For the full extent
Park Green, Macclesfield – For the full extent
Valley Road, Macclesfield – For the full extent
Victoria Road, Macclesfield – For the full extent
Ivy Road, Macclesfield – For the full extent
Shrigley Road, Pott Shrigley/Bollington – For the full extent
Leek Road, Gawsworth – For the full extent

This order will come into operation on Monday 9 September 2024 and will continue in force for 36 months or for such less time as is necessary to complete the work to be executed in the highway, although it is anticipated that the works will be completed by Monday 31 March 2025
