Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
CANTERBURY AREA
THE KENT COUNTY COUNCIL
(VARIOUS ROADS, CANTERBURY)
(SPEED LIMITS) (CONSOLIDATION) ORDER 2023
(AMENDMENT No.16) ORDER 2024
Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
Notice is given that KENT COUNTY COUNCIL hereby make the above named Order under Sections 81, 82, 84 and 124 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and of all other enabling powers, and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Paragraph 20 of Schedule 9 to the Act:
The effect of the Order will be to reduce the existing 50mph speed limit to 40mph on the following length of roads in Petham, Canterbury:
STONE STREET - From a point 193 metres south of its junction with Hogg Lane to a point 355 metres north of its junction with Cheques Hill.
This order was advertised as originally as Amendments 15 but due to the new consolidation order for Canterbury it has been renumbered.
The Order was made on 22 August 2024 and its provisions will come into effect on 23 August 2024.

GRAVESHAM AREA

(CONSOLIDATION) ORDER 2021 (AMENDMENT No.18) ORDER 2024
Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
NOTICE is hereby given that the Kent County Council proposes to make an Order under Sections 1, 2, 32, 35, 36, 45, 46, 47, 49, 53, 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the Traffic Management Act 2004, and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act.
The effect of the Order is to introduce a no waiting at any time double yellow lines (DYLs) and school keep clear lines Mon-Fri between the hours of 8am and 6pm on the following length of roads in Northfleet, Gravesham:-
SPRINGHEAD PARKWAY – (1) DYLs on the south west side from its junction with Thackeray Drive for a distance of 28 metres in a north westerly direction. (2) DYLs on the north east side opposite its junction with Thackeray Drive for a distance of 39 metres in a north westerly direction. (3) DYLs on the south west side from its junction with Thackeray Drive for a distance of 49 metres in a south easterly direction. (4) DYLs on the north side from the new school keep clear lines for a distance of 6 metres in a south easterly direction. (5) School keep clear lines on the north east side from its junction with Thackeray Drive for a distance of 43 metres in a south easterly direction. THACKERAY DRIVE (formerly Eastgate View) – DYLs on both sides from its junction with Springhead Parkway for a distance of 13 metres in a south westerly direction.

NOTICE is given that the Kent County Council hereby make an Order under Sections 81, 82, 84 and 124 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Paragraph 20 of Schedule 9 to the Act:-
The effect of which would be to reduce the 30MPH speed limit to 20MPH speed limit in Harrietsham, Maidstone on the following length of roads:-
ALEXANDER ROAD, BALDWINS PLACE, BOXFIELD CLOSE, BUTLER CLOSE, CHURCH ROAD, CRICKETERS CLOSE, CUTBUSH CLOSE, FORGE MEADOW, HARRISON DRIVE, HOOK LANE, HORWOOD WAY, IVENS WAY, LAKELANDS, PARKFIELD CLOSE, QUESTED WAY, SHRUBWOOD CLOSE, STATION ROAD, THE HAMPSHIRES and TITHE MEWS – For their entire length. WEST STREET - From a point 38 metres northeast of its western junction with A20 Ashford Road to its eastern junction with A20 Ashford Road.
The Order was made on 22 August 2024 and its provisions will come into effect on 23 August 2024.

NOTICE is given that the Kent County Council hereby make an Order under Sections 81, 82, 84 and 124 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Paragraph 20 of Schedule 9 to the Act:-
The effect of which would be to reduce the 30MPH speed limit to 20MPH speed limit in Lenham, Maidstone on the following length of roads:-
ATWATER COURT, CHILSTON ROAD, CROFT GARDENS, FAVERSHAM ROAD, ROYTON AVENUE and TOLHURST WAY – For their entire length. HIGH STREET - From its junction with Faversham Road to its junction with Croft Garden. MAIDSTONE ROAD – From its junction with High Street for a distance of 151 metres in a north westerly direction. OLD ASHFORD ROAD – From its junction with Faversham Road to a point 32 metres east of its junction with Grovelands.
The Order was made on 22 August 2024 and its provisions will come into effect on 23 August 2024.

SEVENOAKS AREA

ORDER (AMENDMENT No.3) ORDER 2024
Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
NOTICE is given that the Kent County Council acting as the Local Traffic Authority and in exercise of its powers under Sections 1, 2, 32, 35, 36, 45, 46, 47, 49, 53, 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the Traffic Management Act 2004, and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby make the following Order:-.
The effect of the made Order will be to install or amend existing waiting restrictions on the following length of roads in Farningham, Sevenoaks:-
Roads in Farningham in the District of Sevenoaks
HIGH STREET - DYL – (1) On northeast side extend the existing DYLs by 22 metres in a southeasterly direction outside the Village Hall Green. (2) On southwest side extend the existing DYLs by 2 metres in a southeasterly direction outside entrance to The Manor House.
This order was originally advertised as Amendment 57 but due to the recent consolidation order it has been renamed as above.
The Order was made on 22 August 2024 and its provisions will come into effect on 23 August 2024.
