What is happening?
MANCHESTER CITY COUNCIL TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER_ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (AS AMENDED)
Notice is hereby given that the City Council has made the following Temporary Road Traffic Order(s):
ORDER NO. MCC139511158: The City of Manchester (Portland Street, Piccadilly Ward)(Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic & No Waiting, No Loading) Order 2024 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Portland Street in the Kaybt outside Pret A Manger. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate a crane lift. It is expected that the works will be in progress on 18th August 2024. The order shall come into operation on 18th August 2024 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.
ORDER NO. MCC139775959: The City of Manchester (Jacksons Row, Deansgate Ward)(Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2024 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Jacksons Row from Deansgate to Southmill Street. The alternative routes for traffic will be: Deansgate, Peter Street, Mount Street, Central Street, Southmill Street. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate a crane. It is expected that the works will be in progress from 17th August 2024 to 18th August 2024. The order shall come into operation on 17th August 2024 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period. Kevin Gillham.
