Cumberland, Multiple Roads, Temporary Prohibitions & Restrictions Due To Utility Works

CUMBERLAND COUNCIL (VARIOUS ROADS IN AND AROUND ROCKCLIFFE, BOUSTEAD HILL, KIRKANDREWS-ON- EDEN, WREAY, SCOTBY AND AGLIONBY) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable utility works to be carried out ("the Works"), Cumberland Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the lengths of road specified in the attached Schedule.

Suitable diversion routes will be indicated on site by the display of relevant traffic signs as and when the temporary closures are in force. A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.

The Order will come into operation on 31 August 2024 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restrictions will only be required for as stated in the schedule, and only as and when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.

SCHEDULE

EXTENT OF RESTRICTIONS AND ALTERNATIVE ROUTES

1. U1118 Boustead Hill - from 31 August 2024 for approx. 4 days (Ref: TTROC/11653)

From its junction with C2024 to its junction with the B5307.

Alternative Route: via the B5307, Kirkbampton, Thurstonfield and Moorhouse, A689 and the C2042 Kirkandrews-on-Eden and Burgh by Sands.

2. U1068 School Lane, Rockcliffe - from 4 September 2024 for approx. 2 days (Ref: TTROC/11655)

From its junction with the C1016 extending in a westerly direction for approx. 227m.

Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of the U1068 and the C1016.

3. U1068 Rockcliffe - from 6 September 2024 for approx. 3 days (Ref: TTROC/11656)

From its junction with the C1016 extending in an overall south easterly direction for approx. 770m to its junction with School Lane.

There is no suitable alternative route available for vehicles.

4. U1071 Near Rockcliffe - from 10 September 2024 for approx. 4 days (Ref: TTROC/11660)

From its junction with the C1015 extending in a north easterly direction for its entire length.

There is no suitable alternative route available for vehicles.

5. U1066 Rockcliffe Cross - from 14 September 2024 for approx. 1 week (Ref: TTROC/11664)

From its junction with the U1067 to its junction with the C1016.

Alternative Route: via the C1016 and the U1067.

6. C1015, Near Rockcliffe - from 17 September 2024 for Approx. 1 week (Ref: TTROC/11814)

From its junction with the C1016 to its junction with the C1022.

Alternative Route: via the C1022, Parkhouse Road, A689, A689 Kingsway, Kingmoor Road, and the C1016 Cargo and Rockcliffe.

7. U1068 Rockcliffe Cross - from 19 September 2024 for approx. 2 days (Ref: TTROC/11665)

From its junction with the U1066 extending in an overall southerly direction for approx. 856m.

There is no suitable alternative route available for vehicles.

8. U1111, Kirkandrews-on- Eden - from 21 September 2024 for approx. 2 days (Ref: TTROC/11658)

From its junction with the C2042 in Kirkandrews-on-Eden to its junction with the U1113 in Beaumont.

Alternative Route: via the U1113 Beaumont and the C2042 Monkhill.

9. C1016, Rockcliffe - from 22 Septemeber 2024 for approx. 1 week (Ref: TTROC/11813)

From a point approx 2.9km north west of its junction with the A689 Kingmoor West Roundabout, extending in a north westerly direction for approx 2.1 km.

Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of the C1016, C1022, Parkhouse Road, A689, A689 Kingsway and Kingmoor Road.

10. U1067 Near Rockcliffe Cross - from 22 September 2024 for approx. 3 days (Ref: TTROC/11682)

From its junction with the C1016 to its junction with the U1066. Alternative Route: via the U1066 Rockcliffe Cross, U1069 and the C1016.

11. C1017 Near Wreay - from 3 October 2024 for approx. 3 days (Ref: TTROC/11684)

From its junction with the C1041 extending in a south easterly direction for approx 680m.

Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of the C1017, A6, C1014 and the C1041

12. C1041 Wreay - from 6 October 2024 for approx. 2 days (Ref: TTROC/11671)

From a point approx 550m north of its junction with the C1017, extending in a northerly direction for approx 1.3km.

Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of the C1041, C1017, C1037 Burthwaite and C1014 Newbiggin Road.

13. U1184 Lambley Bank, Scotby - from 9 October 2024 for approx. 1 day (Ref: TTROC/11686)

From its junction with the C1038 extending in a south westerly direction for approx 475m. Alternative Route There is no suitable alternative route available for vehicles.

14. U1177 Aglionby - from 16 October 2024 for approx. 1 week (Ref: TTROC/11685)

From its western and eastern junctions with the A69 at Aglionby, extending in an overall northerly direction for approx. 2.5km.

Alternative Route: via the A69 and the U1177 in Warwick-on-Eden.
