Grange-Over-Sands - Temporary Traffic Restrictions due to Utility Works.

(VARIOUS ROADS IN WESTMORLAND AND FURNESS)

(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) (NO.10) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable utility works to be carried out ("the Works"), Westmorland and Furness Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to;

1, Prohibit any vehicle from waiting at any time, on any day and/or from loading and unloading, at any time, on any day (including blue badge holders) along that section of;

(i) Kents Bank Road, Grange-Over-Sands (west side), from its junction with Park Road (B5277), extending in a predominantly north easterly direction for approx. 60 m.

From 6th September 2024 for approx. duration 1 week (Ref: TTROW/11358)

(ii) Kents Bank Road, Grange-Over-Sands (west side), from a point approx. 180m north east of its junction with Laundry Hill, extending in a north easterly direction for approx. 70m.

From 6th September 2024 for approx. duration 1 week (Ref: TTROW/11359)

(iii) Kents Bank Road, Grange-Over-Sands (east side), from its junction with Albert Road, extending in a north easterly direction for approx. 65m.

From 6th September 2024 for approx. duration 1 week (Ref: TTROW/11359)

(iv) Albert Road, Grange-Over-Sands (north side), from its junction with Kents Bank Road, extending in a south easterly direction for approx. 30m.

2. Prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the lengths of road specified in the attached Schedule.

Suitable diversion routes will be indicated on site by the display of relevant traffic signs as and when the temporary closures are in force.

A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.

The Order will come into operation on 6th September 2024 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restrictions will only be required as stated in the schedule and only as and when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.

EXTENT OF RESTRICTIONS AND ALTERNATIVE ROUTES

1. Priory Crescent, Grange-Over-Sands - From 11th September 2024 for approx. duration 2 weeks (Ref: TTROW/11435)

From a point approx. 60 m south east of its junction with Greaves Wood Road, extending in a predominantly north easterly direction for approx. 140 m.

There is no suitable alternative route available.

2. Back Yewbarrow Terrace, Grange-Over-Sands - From 11th September 2024 for approx. duration 2 weeks (Ref: TTROW/11441)

From its junction with Main Street (B5277), extending in a north westerly direction for approx. 40 m. There is no suitable alternative route available.

3. Priory Lane, Grange-Over-Sands - From 11th September 2024 for approx. duration 3 weeks (Ref: TTROW/11442)

From its junction with Laneside Road, extending in a predominantly south westerly direction for approx. 300 m.

Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of Priory Lane, Kirkhead Road and Kentsford Road.

4. Laneside Road, Grange-Over-Sands - From 11th September 2024 for approx. duration 3 weeks (Ref: TTROW/11442)

From its junction with Priory Lane, extending in a easterly direction for approx 60 m.
