(Angmering: A280 and Water Lane)
(Temporary Traffic Regulation) Order 2024 NOTICE is hereby given that not less than 7 days from the date of this notice, WSCC intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily close the A280 in Angmering from its junction with Titnore Lane, southwards to its junction with Ecclesden Lane. The Order also temporarily introduces a 40 MPH speed limit on the same length of the A280.
The Order also temporarily closes Water Lane from its junction with the A280 westwards to its junction with Holmwood Way. These restrictions are needed to allow the construction of a new roundabout at the junction of the A280 with Water Lane. During the operative period of this Order the road will mostly be kept open during the daytime and only closed overnight for various short periods. It is however planned to close the road for two weekends during the later stages of the works. The 40 MPH speed limit will remain in place for the whole operative period of the order.
The Order will come into effect on 2 September 2024 and remain in force until 12 May 2025. Once made, the Order may remain in force for up to 18 months, or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is earlier.
At times the road is closed alternative routes for vehicles will be indicated on site. Access for the emergency services and to properties on the affected length of road will be maintained at all times.

(Angmering: Water Lane)
(Temporary Prohibition of Waiting) Order 2024
NOTICE is hereby given that not less than 7 days from the date of this notice, WSCC intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit waiting at any time on the northern side of Water Lane in Angmering, from the eastern kerbline of the entrance to the car park of The Lamb public house, eastwards to a point opposite its junction with Cumberland Crescent. This restriction is needed to provide safe access for large vehicles accessing the former Chandlers garage construction site.
The Order will come into effect on 2 September 2024 and remain in force until 24 February 2026. Once made, the Order may remain in force for up to 18 months, or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is earlier.

(Lancing: Gravelly Crescent) (Temporary Closure) Order 2024
NOTICE is hereby given that not less than 7 days from the date of this notice, WSCC intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily close Gravelly Lane in Lancing from the western property boundary of 21 Gravelly Crescent, north-eastwards for 40m.
The road closure is needed to allow a new mains electricity connection to be made in safety.
The Order will come into effect on 29 August 2024 and remain in force until 4 September 2024. Once made, the Order may remain in force for up to 18 months, or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is earlier.
During the operative periods of this Order alternative routes for vehicles will be indicated on site. Access to properties on the affected length of road will be maintained at all times. (Angmering: Drift Road and Adjoining Roads)
(Traffic Regulation) Order 2024
NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC has recently made a permanent Order under the provisions of the Road Traffic regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to introduce a one-way traffic restriction on Drift Road in Angmering. This will allow vehicular traffic to use the road in a southbound direction only, from its junction with the A259/A280 roundabout, southwards for a distance of 30 metres.
The Order also prohibits motor vehicles from making a left turn from Barncroft Gardens into Drift Road.
The Order also introduces a 20MPH speed limit throughout the entire lengths of Drift Road, Barncroft Gardens and Long Lakes Way.
A copy of the Order, which will come into operation on 19 August 2024, together with plans showing the affected lengths of road may be viewed on the WSCC website. People without access to a computer who wish to view details of the scheme should telephone the WSCC Contact Centre on 01243 642105 to receive the documents by post.
Any person who wishes to question the validity of this Order, or of any provision contained therein, on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Act, or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act, or any instrument made under it, has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may within 6 weeks from 15 August 2024, apply to the High Court
