Roman Road, Temporary Road Closure Due To Water Works
What is happening?
Somerset Council Temporary Closure of Roman Road, Taunton
Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, have made an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along Roman Road - from the junction with Outer Circle to the junction with Inner Circle. A total distance of 65 metres. This Order will enable Wessex Water to carry out supply separation works.
The Order becomes effective on 15th August 2024 and will remain in force for eighteen months. The works are expected to commence on 19th August 2024 and last until 23rd August 2024 between the hours of 00:00 - 23:59 for a total of 5 days.
