(Rudgwick: Hillhouse Lane)
(Temporary Closure) Order 2024
NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicles from proceeding along Hillhouse Lane between the A281 and Cooks Hill.
The Order is necessary to protect public safety whilst water mains renewal works are undertaken.
The Order will come into effect on 19 August 2024 and will last for 18 months or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is anticipated the works will commence on or after 19 August 2024 and will 5 weeks.
Any queries about the works to take place should be directed to Network Plus telephone number 0800 0093921. Any queries about the effect of the Order on vehicles using the highway should be directed to WSCC, telephone number 01243 642105.
(Shermanbury: Public Footpath No. 2809)
(Temporary Closure) Order 2024
NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit any person from proceeding along a length of Public Footpath No. 2809 from its junction with Public Bridleway No. 2376 (TQ219189), south-eastwards over Mill Stream and the River Adur, to its junction with Public Footpath No. 2390 (TQ219189), a distance of approximately 60m.
The Order is necessary to protect public safety due to an unsafe bridge.
Unfortunately there are no alternative routes available using the Public Rights of Way network.
The Order will come into effect on 15 August 2024 and will last for 6 months.
