Public Notices for Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders
The following public notices were served on 15 August 2024:
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Milton Keynes City Council intends to make the following Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:
PUBLIC NOTICE 1:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (CHILDS WAY, CAMPBELL PARK) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2024 (Reference: TTRO-2013)
The effect of the above temporary traffic regulation Order will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from entering, waiting or proceeding along the following lengths of road to allow THREE to carry out testing and maintenance works with use of a crane.
Childs Way, Campbell Park (Westbound) – From its junction with South Overgate Roundabout to its junction with South Enmore Roundabout.
Whilst the above length of road is closed the alternative route will be via the Childs Way, Tongwell Street, Chaffron Way, Marlborough Street
The above closure will be in effect on 27th August 2024 (09:30 – 16:30) or until the said works have been completed, whichever is the sooner.
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Milton Keynes City Council has on 13th August 2024 made the following Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:
PUBLIC NOTICE 2:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (CROWNHILL ROUNDABOUT (PART), MILTON KEYNES) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2024 (Reference: TTRO-2003)
The effect of the above temporary traffic regulation Order will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from entering, waiting or proceeding along the following lengths of road to allow MBNL to install new telecommunications equipment.
Crownhill Roundabout – between the points on its south-eastern island (preventing traffic from travelling east to west on Dansteed Way.
Whilst the above closure is in place, the alternative route will be via Watling Street (on the southbound carriageway), Loughton Roundabout and Watling Street (on the northbound carriageway).
The above closure will be in effect between 19th August and 22nd August 2024 (09:30am to 3:30pm) or until the said works have been completed, whichever is the sooner.
PUBLIC NOTICE 3:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (WOLVERTON ROAD, GIFFARD PARK) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2024 (Reference: TTRO-2031)
The effect of the above temporary traffic regulation Order will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from entering, waiting or proceeding along the following lengths of road to enable Creation of new bell mouth and traffic island as well as new electrical supply to new care home.
Wolverton Road, Giffard Park – Between Brickhill Street and Broadway Avenue.
Whilst the above length of road is closed the alternative route will be via Brickhill Street, Monks Way and Saxon Street (and vice versa).
The above closure will be in effect between 19th August and 13th September 2024 (24 hours of every day) or until the said works have been completed, whichever is the sooner.
PUBLIC NOTICE 4:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (MALLOW GATE, CONNIBURROW) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2024 (Reference: TTRO-2004)
The effect of the above temporary traffic regulation Order will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from entering, waiting or proceeding along the following lengths of road to enable THREE to carry out Telecoms maintenance / upgrades on a telecoms pole.
Mallow Gate, Conniburrow – From its junction with Portway to its junction with Cleavers Avenue.
Whilst the above length of road is closed the alternative route will be via Mallow Gate, Conniburrow Boulevard, Marlborough Street, Dansteed Way, Saxon Street (and vice versa).
The above closure will be in effect on 19th August 2024 (09:30 – 16:30) or until the said works have been completed, whichever is the sooner.
PUBLIC NOTICE 5:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (MELROSE AVENUE (PART), BLETCHLEY) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2024 (Reference: TTRO-2014)
The effect of the above temporary traffic regulation Order will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from entering, waiting or proceeding along the following lengths of road to allow National Grid to undertake a road crossing for a new cable.
Melrose Avenue – from its junction with Whaddon Way to its junction with Dorchester Avenue.
Whilst the above closure is in place, the alternative route will be via Whaddon Way and Dorchester Avenue (and vice versa).
The above closure will be in effect between 21st and 30th August 2024 (24 hours of every day) or until the said works have been completed, whichever is the sooner.
Public Notice for Permanent Traffic Regulation Orders
The following public notices shall be served on Thursday 15 August 2024:
PUBLIC NOTICE 6:
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Milton Keynes City Council has on 13 August 2024 made the following Traffic Regulation Order, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (THE COUNCIL OF THE BOROUGH OF MILTON KEYNES) (VARIOUS ROADS IN MILTON KEYNES AND SURROUNDING AREAS) (20 MPH SPEED RESTRICTION ZONES) ORDER 2021) VARIATION ORDER 2024 (No.3) (Reference: TRO-411)
The general effect of the above proposed Order will be to introduce four 20mph speed zones in Olney, Milton Keynes.
The made Order will take effect on 16 August 2024.
Any person wishing to question the validity of the made Order or any provision contained in the Orders on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act, or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act or any Instrument made under the Act has not been compiled with may, within six weeks from the date on which the Order was made, apply to the High Court for that purpose.
