What is happening?

THE COUNCIL OF THE BOROUGH OF MIDDLESBROUGH (OFF STREET PARKING PLACES) (CONSOLIDATION) ORDER 2021
AMENDMENT ORDER No. 3 2024

NOTICE is hereby given that the Council of the Borough of Middlesbrough proposes to make an Order under Sections 32 and 35(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the Act”) and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Act, and of all other enabling powers and after consulting the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act. The effect of the Order will be to amend the Council of the Borough of Middlesbrough (Off Street Parking Places) (Consolidation) Order 2021 by amending its Articles and Schedules as indicated in the Schedule hereto. Full details and descriptions are contained in the draft Order which, together with an associated plan and a statement of the Council’s reasons for making the Order may be examined during normal office hours on Monday to Thursday at Newport Settlement Community Hub, St Paul’s Road, Middlesbrough. TS1 5NQ and at www.middlesbrough.gov.uk. If you wish to object to the proposed Order you should state your grounds in writing to the undersigned by 21 days from the date of this Notice.

SCHEDULE
The following amendment is made to the Articles: Item (p) is added to Article 5 (1) - Parking Contraventions: “(p) has left a Motor Vehicle parked in a car park when closed.”

The following amendment is made to the Schedule: Item 14 is removed from Part II Long Stay Parking Places
