Westwood Road - Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic For Facilitate Installation Of New Water Main Works

What is happening?

THE SURREY COUNTY COUNCIL

Westwood Road (C1) Windlesham Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2024
On 13 August 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Westwood Road (C1) Windlesham as extends from its junction with (A30) London Road and for a distance of 25 metres in a southerly direction along Westwood Road. Alternative Route: Westwood Road, (B386) Kennel Lane, Hatton Hill, Snows Ride, and (A30) London Road, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate installation of new water main works for, or on behalf of Affinity Water. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 3 days, between the hours of 8am and 4pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 27 August 2024. 
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. 
Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists.

Deepcut Bridge Road (B3015) Camberley Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Deepcut Bridge Road (B3015) Camberley as extends from its junction at the roundabout with (X3015) Blackdown Road and (D3590) Mindenhurst Road to its junction with (S3015) Brunswick Road. Alternative Route: (B3015) Deepcut Bridge Road, (S3232) Mindenhurst Road, and (S3015) Brunswick Road, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate installation S278 works for, or on behalf of Skanska UK. 
These works are anticipated to be carried out over 3 nights, between the hours of 8pm and 5am, Friday to Monday only, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 13 September 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times, as will access for emergency service vehicles in an emergency situation only. Vehicular access for residents and businesses will be maintained via the diversion route. The Council are satisfied that, in accordance with Section 3(2)(a) and 3(2)(b) of the Act, vehicular access to and from premises within the length of road above, or accessible only therefrom, may be restricted in order to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road and/or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising.

Park Street (D3514) Camberley Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Park Street (D3514) Camberley as extends from its junction with (D3515) St Marys Road to its junction with (D3514) Princess Way. Alternative Route: (1) Pembroke Broadway, Portsbery Road, Knoll Road, and (A30) London Road; (2) (A30) London Road, Lower Charles Street, Charles Street, and Southwell Park Road. This Order is required to facilitate remedial works for, or on behalf of Thames Water. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 5 days, between the hours of 8am and 5pm within the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 09 September 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. It will not be possible to maintain access through the closure for emergency services, residents and businesses and all vehicular traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route. The Council are satisfied that, in accordance with Section 3(2)(a) and 3(2)(b) of the Act, vehicular access to and from premises within the length of road above, or accessible only therefrom, may be restricted in order to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road and/or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising.
