What is happening?

THE ROYAL BOROUGH OF KENSINGTON AND CHELSEA
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURES ALLEN STREET Northbound Directional Road Closure

The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea has made an Order under The Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991 Schedule 1 - Section 14 (1) (A) and all other enabling powers prohibiting vehicles from proceeding or waiting in roads cited below. Where necessary to maintain access for residents and occupiers one way or two-way traffic working may be imposed on affected roads.

ROAD CLOSED TO VEHICLES FOR UTILITY WORKS.

Allen Street, to be closed northbound at the junction of Stratford Road to outside of number 7 Allen Street.

To be closed from 08.00hrs on Monday 19th August 2024 until 17.30hrs on Monday 2nd September 2024, with backup dates of Monday 26th August 2024 until Monday 9th September 2024, or until the works are completed.

Diverted through traffic may use Stratford Road, Marloes Road, Scarsdale Road Allen Street, or Stratford Road, Abingdon Road, Scarsdale Road, Allen Street.

Access will be maintained for residents and occupiers.

Nothing in this Order shall apply to anything done with the permission of, or at the direction of, a police constable in uniform or a traffic warden.

Nothing in this Order shall apply to any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes, or for the purposes of a statutory undertaker in an emergency.
