Ashford, Multiple Temporary Traffic Regulation Notices

What is happening?

Highways

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

ASHFORD AREA

B2067 Bonnington Road, Bonnington & Bonnington Road, Bilsington.​ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER SEPTEMBER 2024

To allow pole testing works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of B2067 Bonnington Road, Bonnington & Bonnington Road, Bilsington, from 5th September 2024, with estimated completion by 6th September 2024, between the hours of 09.30 and 15.30, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction with Frogmore Lane to the junction with Priory Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via Ashford Road, Frith Road, Roman Road, Forge Hill, New Road Hill, Boat Lane, B2067 Bonnington Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

B2067 Ruckinge Road, Hamstreet.​ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & TEMPORARY ONE-WAY SUSPENSION) TEMPORARY ORDER AUGUST 2024

To allow replacement pole works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of B2067 Ruckinge Road, Hamstreet, from 22nd August 2024, with estimated completion by 23rd August 2024, between the hours of 09.00 and 17.00, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction with B2067 The Street, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The One-Way Order on B2067 Ruckinge Road will be suspended for the duration of the works.

The alternative route is via B2067 The Street and B2067 Cock Lane.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Bentley Road, Willesborough, TN24 0ET (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER AUGUST 2024

To allow cable works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Bentley Road, Willesborough, on or after 19th August 2024, for up to 5 days, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of number 105, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via Osborne Road, Hunter Avenue, Bentley Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Bulltown Lane, Brabourne.​ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER AUGUST 2024

To allow pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Bulltown Lane, Brabourne, from 20th August 2024, for up to one day, between the hours of 08.30 and 15.30, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of 1 Primrose Cottage, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via Pilgrims Way, Hampton Lane, Plumpton, Bulltown Lane and vice versa.

 

Church Lane, Shadoxhurst, TN26 1LY (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER SEPTEMBER 2024

To allow pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Church Lane, Shadoxhurst, from 5th September 2024, with estimated completion by 6th September 2024, between the hours of 09.00 and 17.00, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of Nickley Wood Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via Church Lane, Longrope, Birchett Lane, Hamstreet Road, Hornash Lane, Woodchurch Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Church Road, Willesborough, TN24 0YR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER SEPTEMBER 2024

To allow replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Church Road, Willesborough, from 19.00 hours on 3rd September 2024, with estimated completion by 06.00 hours on 4th September 2024, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction with Park Place, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via Church Road, A292 Hythe Road, Hunter Road, Osborne Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Hurstford Lane, Charing, TN27 0EN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER AUGUST 2024

To allow carriageway void repairs to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on Hurstford Lane, Charing, from 19th August 2024, with estimated completion by 2nd October 2024, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed for the entire length, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via Calehill Road (known as The Street), Pluckley Road and Leacon Lane.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Plain Road, Smeeth, TN25 6FA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER SEPTEMBER 2024

To allow replacement pole works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Plain Road, Smeeth, from 4th September 2024, with estimated completion by 5th September 2024, between the hours of 09.00 and 17.00, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of Ashtree House, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via Plain Road, Woolpack Hill, Church Road, A20 Hythe Road, A20 Main Road, Stone Hill, Plain Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Priory Road, Bilsington, TN25 7JU (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER AUGUST 2024

To allow maintenance works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Priory Road, Bilsington, on or after 20th August 2024, for up to 3 days, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction with B2067 Bonnington Road (right exit), to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via Priory Road and B2067 Bonnington Road.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Station Road, Hothfield.​ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER SEPTEMBER 2024

To allow repair works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Station Road, Hothfield, on or after 3rd September 2024, for up to 3 days, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction with A20 Maidstone Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via A20 Maidstone Road, Cades Road, Station Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

The Street, Westwell, TN25 4LG (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER SEPTEMBER 2024

To allow utility works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of The Street, Westwell, on or after 3rd September 2024, for up to 4 days, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of The Wheel Inn, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via The Street, Watery Lane, A20 Maidstone Road, Westwell Lane and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Watery Lane, Westwell, TN25 4JJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER AUGUST 2024

To allow tree and vegetation works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Watery Lane, Westwell, from 19th August 2024, for up to one day, between the hours of 09.30 and 16.30, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of  the entrance to Tarmac Hothfield Asphalt Plant works, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via A20 Maidstone Road, Westwell Lane, Watery Lane and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
