Footpath 64 Bredbury & Romiley - Temporary Closure For Ensure Safety To The Public
What is happening?
THE METROPOLITAN BOROUGH COUNCIL OF STOCKPORT (FOOTPATH 64 BREDBURY & ROMILEY) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Metropolitan Borough Council of Stockport proposes to make an Order under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffc Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Road Traffc (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, the effect of which will be to temporarily close Footpath 64 Bredbury and Romiley from a point just north of Thorn Mill to the footpath’s junction with Footpath 63 Bredbury and Romiley whilst traffc signs to that effect are in place on or near the said public footpath. This Order is necessary to ensure safety to the public. It is anticipated that the maximum duration of the works will be 6 months. Alternative routes will be provided via:- From Thorn Mill westward using Footpath 88 Bredbury & Romiley, then north on Bridleway 69 Bredbury & Romiley, then west on Footpath 63 Bredbury & Romiley. This Order is to come into operation on the 23 August 2024 and will have effect for six months, provided that if all necessary works are completed within a shorter period this Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.
