SECTION 14 - THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 NOTICE OF TRAFFIC ORDERS FOR TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURES FOR SBC RESURFACING WORKS
Notice is given that SWINDON BOROUGH COUNCIL made following orders:
(STR000862 Little Hinton Lane, Hinton Parva) This Order is being introduced for CIRCET AND BT OPENREACH works and will impose a prohibition of driving on Little Hinton Lane between White Hill and Hatchet Hill junctions.
Traffic to be diverted via Hatchett Hill, White Hill and vice versa.
Order effective from the 12 Aughust 2024 to 6 months but it is anticipated the restrictions are only required between 12 to 16 August 2024.
(STR000867 Hinton Parva Lane, Hinton Parva) This Order is being introduced for BT OPENREACH works and will prohibit vehicles from proceeding on Hinton Parva Lane outside Icknield Cottage.
Alternative Route - via Body Horse Hill, Hinton Hill, Hinton Springs, Icknield Way, Hockerbench, Icknield Way, Idstone Road, High Street, B4000, Townsend Road, A420, A420 Merlin Way, Wanborough Road, High Street, Wanborough, and vice versa.
Order effective from the 12 August 2024 for 6 months but works are expected to take place from 20:00 hours on the 12 August 2024 to 06:00 hours on the 13 August 2024.
(STR000865 Gipsy Lane Roundabout, Swindon) This Order is being introduced for resurfacing works and will prohibit vehicles from proceeding on Gipsy Lane Roundabout including the entry/exit lanes.
Alternative Route - via A4311 Cirencester Way to transfer bridge, Octotal Way, A4312 Drakes Way to Greenbridge Roundabout, B4006 Swindon Road, B4143 Bridge End Road and vice versa.
Order effective from the 13 August 2024 for 6 months but works are expected to take place between 13 to 26 August 2024 overnight only from 20:00 hours to 06:00 hours.
(STR000904 Wanborough Road, Swindon) This Order is being introduced for BELLWAY AND VESTRY S278 works and will impose a restriction on driving on Wanborough Road between the junctions of Burycroft and Kingfisher Drive. Traffic to be diverted via Covingham Drive, Dorcan Way, Marlborough Road, Purley Road, Foxhill, Callas Hill, High Street and vice versa.
Order effective from the 27 August 2024 for 6 months but it is expected the road closure will be in place on the 27 to 29 August 2024 between the hours of 22:00 and 06:00 hours.
(STR000913 Church Row, Hinton Parva) This Order is being introduced for OPENREACH works and will impose a restriction on driving on Church Row between the junction with Body Horse Hill and Tuckers Lane.
Traffic to be diverted via Body Horse Hill, Tuckers Lane and vice versa.
Order effective from the 27 August 2024 for 6 months but it is expected the road closure will be in place 27 August 2024 between the hours of 09:30 to 15:30 hours.
