Colemans Interchange, Essex, Temporary Road Closure Due To Carriageway Resurfacing Works

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 -SECTION 14(1)(A) AND 7 THE A12 TRUNK ROAD (JUNCTION 22 COLEMANS INTERCHANGE, ESSEX) SLIP ROADS (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 202_

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited(a) intends to make an Order on the A12 Trunk Road in the County of Essex to enable nearby Local Authority carriageway resurfacing works to be carried out in safety. The works are expected to take place over 5 nights (9pm- 5am Monday to Friday), starting on, or after Monday 2 September 2024. The effect of the Order would be to close the northbound and southbound exit slip roads leading from the A12 at Junction 22 Colemans Interchange.

Traffic exiting the A12 northbound at J22 would exit at J23 then follow local diversions to continue.

Traffic exiting the A12 southbound at J22 would exit at J20B then return via the A12 northbound to exit at J23 then follow local diversions to continue. The closures (which would not apply to emergency service or traffic officer vehicles) and diversion routes would be clearly indicated by traffic signs.

The Order would come into force on 26 August 2024 and may continue in force until the works detailed above have been completed, or for a maximum duration of eighteen months, whichever is the earlier.
