Various Roads (Safrano Avenue) Myland (20mph Zone) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 84(1)(a) and (2), and Part III of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended).
Effect of the order: To implement "20mph Zone".
Road Description
- Armada Drive: From its junction with Safrano Avenue for its entire length, including any turning heads.
- Bettina Close: From its junction with Elina Road for its entire length, including any turning heads.
- Elina Road: From its junction with Safrano Avenue for its entire length, up to and including its junction with Bettina Close, including any turning heads.
- Nevada Close: From its junction with Safrano Avenue for its entire length, including any turning heads.
- Safrano Avenue: From a point approximately 20 metres east of its junction with the A134 Nayland Road and Wildeve Avenue, northeast and east for approximately 215 metres.
This Order will come into operation on: 08 November 2024

(Birch Road, Birch) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Birch Road, Birch in the City of Colchester, from a point approximately 160m south of its junction with Fountain Lane for a distance of approximately 50m in a south westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 5th September 2024 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (BC008WWF8BF7K – Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole replacements works are undertaken by Openreach.
An alternative route is available via Birch Road, Coptford Green, School Road, London Road, Western Approach, Warren Lane, Maldon Road, Hardys Green and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 5th September 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Bromley Road, Ardleigh) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Bromley Road, Ardleigh in the District of Tendring, from a point approximately 240m south west of its junction with Hall Road for a distance of approximately 240m in a south westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 15th August 2024 for 2 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AZ3001057942531 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
An alternative route is available via Harwich Road, Colchester Road, Parsons Heath Roundabout, Fox Street, Clingoe Hill, A133, Colchester Road, Station Road, Slough Lane, Crown Lane North, Bromley Road, Park Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 15th August 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Dead Lane/South Heath Road, Great Bentley) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Dead Lane/South Heath Road, Great Bentley in the District of Tendring, from the junction with Flag Hill for a distance of approximately 80m in a north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 2nd September 2024 for 12 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP102EH2530622 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
An alternative route is available via South Heath Road, Coles Brook Road, Plough Road, Thorpe Road, Thorrington Road, Great Bentley Road, Station Road, Clacton Road, Holly Bush Hill and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 15th August 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Gutteridge Hall Lane, Weeley) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Gutteridge Hall Lane, Weeley in the District of Tendring, from a point approximately 50m south west of its junction with Clacton Road for a distance of approximately 40m in a westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 21st August 2024 for 2 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AZ70110394302 – Cadent). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new gas connection works are undertaken by Cadent.
An alternative route is available via Clacton Road, Crow Brook, and vice versa.

(New Road, Tiptree) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of New Road, Tiptree in the City of Colchester, from a point approximately 60m south east of its junction with Seldon Road for a distance of approximately 40m in a south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 5th September 2024 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (A7011001348627 – Cadent). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new gas connection works are undertaken by Cadent.

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Plough Road, Great Bentley in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Station Road for a distance of approximately 140m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 22nd August 2024 for 7 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AZ109601878Y00188 – Gigaclear). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while duct works are undertaken by Gigaclear.

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of A133 Colchester Road, Great Bentley & Northbound Slip from A133 to A120, Great Bentley/Little Bentley/Little Bromley & Southbound Slip From A120 To A133, Little Bromley/Little Bentley/Great Bentley, in the District of Tendring under Section 14(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, from 14th August 2024 for 2 days, or where stated on a valid permit (FM40601847434 – National Highways). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closures are required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by National Highways.

(Eld Lane, Colchester) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Eld Lane, Colchester in the City of Colchester, from a point approximately 15m east of its junction with Trinity Street for a distance of approximately 30m in an easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 19th August 2024 for 1 night (19:00 – 06:00), or where stated on a valid permit (A3G9654329-1M – Anglian Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while manhole cover repairs works are undertaken by Anglian Water.

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Nayland Road, West Bergholt in the City of Colchester District, from a point approximately 85m north east of its junction with Bures Road for a distance of approximately 55m in a north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 19th August 2024 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (BC008WWF6F9G1M – Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole renewal works are undertaken by Openreach.

(The Avenue, Wivenhoe) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
- Phase 1: To temporarily close that length of The Avenue, Wivenhoe in the City of Colchester, from its junction with Tower Road to its junction with Harvey Road a distance of approximately 290m.
- Phase 2: To temporarily close that length of The Avenue, Wivenhoe in the City of Colchester, from its junction with Harvey Road to its junction with Rosabelle Road a distance of approximately 120m and Harvey Road, Wivenhoe in the City of Colchester, from a point approximately 10m east of its junction with The Avenue for a distance of approximately 10m.
- Phase 3: To temporarily close that length of The Avenue, Wivenhoe in the City of Colchester, from its junction with Rosabelle Avenue to its junction with De Vere Lane a distance of approximately 330m and Rosabelle Avenue, Wivenhoe in the City of Colchester, from a point approximately 10m south east of its junction with The Avenue for a distance of approximately 10m.

(Various Roads, City of Colchester) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic, Temporary Introduction of a Clearway) Order (No.19) 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close those lengths of road in the City of Colchester as specified in schedule 1 to this Order.
- A temporary 'No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping' restriction will be introduced on both sides of carriageway on the above lengths of road and those in schedule 2 to the extent indicated by signs.
- A temporary 30mph speed limit will be introduced by order.
- The introduction of a clearway to facilitate the works. Signs will be installed indicating when the temporary restrictions are in force.
"The Essex County Council (Colchester Borough) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and On-Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) (Amendment No.17) Order 2024" will be temporarily suspended in the length of roads specified in the schedule to this Order. The suspension will only apply during such times and to such extent as indicated by traffic signs. The measures will be phased as per the program of works, and signs will indicate the extent of the restrictions and dates of operation. Signs will be installed indicating when the prohibitions apply.
The works being undertaken will take place within an 18-month period for 1st August 2024 and is required for the safety of the public and workforce whilst carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
