Maldon, Temporary Road Closures For Main Installation, Pole Replacement & New Connection Works

What is happening?

Essex County Council

(Beacons Lane, Great Totham) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Beacons Lane, Great Totham in the District of Maldon, from its junction with Braxted Road for a distance of approximately 60m in a south westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 5th September 2024 for 14 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EN014M70759 - Essex And Suffolk Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while main installation works are undertaken by Essex And Suffolk Water. An alternative route is available via Mountains Road, Colchester Road, Maldon Road, Braxted Park Road and vice versa (with access only into Tiptree Road, Braxted Road, Beacons Lane).

The Order will come into effect on 15th August 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Maldon Road, Bradwell-on-Sea) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Maldon Road, Bradwell-on-Sea in the District of Maldon, from a point approximately 70m south east of its junction with Orplands for a distance of approximately 70m in a north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 5th September 2024 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (BC008WF5H6W7K - Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole replacement works are undertaken by Openreach.

An alternative route is available via Maldon Road, South Street, High Street, Down Hall Road, Trusses Road, Waterside Road, Maldon Road and vice versa. The Order will come into effect on 15th August 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Providence, Burnham-on-Crouch) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic & Temporary Suspension of One Way) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order:

1. To temporarily close that length of Providence, Burnham-on-Crouch in the District of Maldon, from a point approximately 15m south west of its junction Orchard Road for a distance of approximately 35m in a south westerly direction.

2. To temporarily suspend the one way restriction in that length of Providence, Burnham-on-Crouch in the District of Maldon, from its junction with High Street northwards for a distance of 121 metres as detailed in 'The Essex County Council (Various Road, Burnham on Crouch) (One Way Traffic Order) 1996' for the duration of the above closure only.

The closure and suspension are scheduled to commence on 2nd September 2024 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EC30036853389 - UK Power Networks). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure and suspension are required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by UK Power Networks. An alternative route is available via High Street, Riverside Road, Orchard Road and vice versa. The Order will come into effect on 15th August 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
