What is happening?

DERBY CITY COUNCIL

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDERS
Derby City Council has made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit use of the roads by traffic.

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE ORDER ON UPPER MOOR ROAD, DERBY
WHEN: 19 August 2024 to 20 August 2024 (Daily: 08:00 to 15:30 only) WHERE: Upper Moor Road, at its junction with Penalton Close
REASON: Carriageway resurfacing (Derby City Council)
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Brackens Lane – Boulton Lane – Chellaston Road – Upper Moor Road and the same in the opposite direction

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE ORDER ON JUNCTION STREET, DERBY
WHEN: 27 August 2024
WHERE: Junction Street, at its junction with Uttoxeter New Road
REASON: Telecom works (Gigalight)
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Junction Street – Uttoxeter Old Road – Great Northern Road – Uttoxeter New Road and the same in the opposite direction

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE ORDER ON BRACKENS LANE, STANLEY ROAD, DERBY
WHEN: 21 August 2024 to 22 August 2024
WHERE: Brackens Lane and Stanley Road, a distance of approximately 20 metres either side of its junctions.
REASON: Carriageway works
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Brackens Lane – Upper Moor Road – Chellaston Road – Boulton Lane – Crayford Road – Brackens Lane and the same in the opposite direction Stanley Road – Harvey Road – Matthew Street – Brackens Lane and the same in the opposite direction

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE ORDER ON PASTURES HILL, RYKNELD ROAD, CALLOW HILL WAY, DERBY
WHEN: 21 August 2024 to 30 August 2024 (Daily: 09:30 to 15:30 only)
WHERE: Pastures Hill roundabout with Rykneld Road, a distance of approximately 60 metres in each direction. Callow Hill Way, at its junction with Pastures Hill.
REASON: Carriageway resurfacing
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Pastures Hill – Chain Lane – Uttoxeter Road – Brierfield Way – The Hollow – Haven Baulk Lane – Rykneld Road and the same in the opposite direction And Callow Hill Way – Hollybrook Way – Rykneld Road and the same in the opposite direction And Callow Hill Way – Hollybrook Way – Rykneld Road – Haven Baulk Lane – The Hollow – Brierfield Way – Uttoxeter Road – Chain Lane – Pastures Hill and the same in the opposite direction

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PEDESTRIAN SUBWAY ON UTTOXETER NEW ROAD, DERBY
WHEN: 19 August 2024 to 6 September 2024
WHERE: Uttoxeter New Road, pedestrian subway from bus stop outside Royal Derby Hospital to bus stop near the Mallard Beefeater restaurant – a distance of approximately 34 metres
REASON: Subway maintenance
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Toucan pedestrian crossing from main entrance of Royal Derby Hospital across Uttoxeter New Road to Aldi Supermarket and the same in the opposite direction

TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF RIGHT TURN ORDER ON CHELLASTON ROAD, DERBY
WHEN: 25 September 2024 to 26 September 2024 (19:00 to 03:00 only) WHERE: Chellaston Road, right turn lane into Merrill Way
REASON: Drainage works (Derby City Council)
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Chellaston Road – Sinfin Avenue – Walton Avenue – Merrill Way.

WHEN: 30 August 2024 to 20 September 2024 Closure to be for 2 days only in date range shown (08:00 to 18:00 only) Exact dates shown on Site Information Boards
WHERE: Acrefield Way, from its junction with Fellow Lands Way to its junction Snelsmoor Lane
REASON: Highway works (Derby City Council)
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Snelsmoor Lane – Fellow Lands Way and the same in the opposite direction

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE ORDER ON LODGE LANE, SPONDON, DERBY
WHEN: 27 August 2024 (20:00) to 28 August 2024 (06:00)
WHERE: Lodge Lane, at its junction with A52 Eastbound
REASON: Highway Maintenance (National Highways)
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: A52 Eastbound – Stoney Lane – Moor Street – Sitwell Street – Lodge Lane
