THE DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL (HUSS’S LANE, NATHANIEL ROAD AND STANLEY STREET, LONG EATON) (NO WAITING AT ANY TIME AND CONTROLLED PARKING ZONE) TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2024
Notice is hereby given that, on Thursday the 1st August 2024 Derbyshire County Council made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The Order will come into operation on Monday the 12th August 2024 and its effect is:
TO PROHIBIT WAITING AT ANY TIME OF VEHICLES (EXCEPT THOSE DELIVERING OR COLLECTING GOODS OR LOADING AND UNLOADING):
Fields Farm Road, Long Eaton
South-west side
From its junction with Oakley’s Road roundabout in a southerly direction, for a distance of 15 metres.
Huss’s Lane, Long Eaton
North-west side
From its junction with Main Street in a north-easterly direction, for a distance of 10 metres. From a point 42 metres north-east of its junction with Main Street in a north-easterly direction, to the north-eastern extremity of the road.
South-east side
From its junction with Main Street in a north-easterly direction, to its north-eastern extremity.
Nathaniel Road
South-east side
From its junction with Oakley’s Road in a southerly direction, for a distance of 15 metres. Exemptions will be made for vehicles used in connection with any building operation or demolition; removal of any obstruction to traffic; carrying out of statutory powers or as part of a funeral or wedding cortege. The usual exemptions for disabled persons’ vehicles displaying a valid disabled person’s badge will also apply.
TO AMEND WHO IS ELIGIBLE FOR A PERMIT:
The Derbyshire County Council (On-Street Parking, Waiting and Loading Prohibitions and Restrictions Consolidation Order 2016 covering the Controlled Zone Albert Road Area, Long Eaton: To amend the current definition of “permit Holder” - “Permit Holder” means a person to whom a permit has been issued under established criteria governing the issue of such permits as determined by the Local Authority Parking Manager and amended from time to time.” To amend the eligible properties for: Stanley Street, Long Eaton to “All”.
A copy of the Order and documents giving more detailed particulars of the Order are available for inspection at the County Council’s principal offices known as County Hall on Smedley Street in Matlock, at Long Eaton Library, Tamworth Road, Long Eaton, Nottingham NG10 1JG during opening hours and on request by emailing place.permanentTRO@derbyshire.gov.uk quoting reference Z3363, until 6 weeks after the Order is made until 12th September 2024.
Any person who wishes to question the validity of the Order, or any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of The Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the ground that a requirement of that Act or any relevant regulation made under it has not been complied with may, within 6 weeks from the 1st August 2024 make application for the purpose to the High Court.
